It has been keeping my vegetable garden and trees alive for a couple months with no issues. I needed a separate PSI regulator for the drip system to not blow the ends off, but because of the very limited number of emitters on each side, that was expected. For the price, it's a great solution, well worth the cost. Came with both hose and drip system fittings, so it was easy to get hooked up.No leaking, turns on and off as expected. I've got the WiFi node plugged in about 15 feet away from the timer and through a brick wall, but it doesn't have any issues with signal strength. The batteries in the timer have only dropped 2% since I started using it, but it's been used every day for a couple hours, and each of those is using the cyclical watering, where I have it water for a few minutes, then turn off for a bit to let the water soak in. Dozens of open close cycles per day. When I first got it I was concerned that I'd have to replace the batteries every few months, but now I'm just concerned that in a couple years when the batteries die I will have forgotten how to replace them. The application works pretty well, but doesn't notify properly when the valve opens and closes unless it's actively running on my Android devices. I'll trigger a 10 minute water to test system changes, and if I close the app then look at it hours later it will seem like it just stopped after I opened the app. I also got this to work with my Home Assistant system, but the dashboard doesn't update the watering time except when the phone app is open, so it isn't very functional for this - hopefully it's fixed in the future because it seems to have worked in the past, it just broke a few months ago. This has caused some concern that maybe it was not turning off correctly without the app, but with some extra testing it's just a display issue in the program, not a watering issue. It took a few minutes to figure out how to program it, but in less than 10 minutes it was ready to go.

Easy to use and set up and no issues at all after turning water on. I've bought other brands of automatic water timers that I had a hard time stopping them from leaking but this one was perfect right off the bat. Using on small irrigation sprinklers for flowerbeds around side and front of house. Being able to set time and duration as well as rain delays is great, especially being able to do it from your phone. Another plus is the muted color makes it less noticeable by the house and less visible which was definitely something I was looking for so it would blend in and look nice. This was a great value for the money and would definitely recommend

I use this valve to water my potted house plants when we are away. I use my security cameras to monitor their condition and water them using my phone when they need it. I just do it manually but you can schedule it as well. It’s very flexible. It also has buttons on the valve body to activate the manual modes by hand. Very convenient.

5/25/25 update: after a few days if use, I am highly frustrated with thia Insoma timer. It is barely reponsivw to the app, and went off on its own in the middle of the night and refused to turn off. It keeps saying it needs a firmware update, but the update fails. I cannot find a way to contact the seller or manufacturer for support. Think this is getting returned.Original review: This timer features two independent zones and wifi control. There is a tiny wifi gateway that you plug into an outlet in your home. Setup is fairly simple, although the app can be a little glitchy about saving your initial settings. It is really nice to have app control rather than trying to mess with a little screen outdoors in an awkward spot like you have to do with non-wireless units. The timer itself has metal fittings, so I was able to hook up easily without leaks. It uses 2 AA batteries, which are inside a well sealed door. The battery door clips on, so no need for tools.

I had purchased a different brand, but it was a pain to try and set up. Kept getting an error message about the batteries being low even though I bought new batteries . I ended up returning the item and found the Insoma, read the reviews and made the purchase. It was so easy to set up and it worked like a charm. I like the fact you can schedule the time for it to automatically turn on or manually turn it on whenever you want from the app. There is really no fiddling with the timer itself. I was really happy when it worked without any headaches. I am pleased with the purchase.
