After 30 years of use my top step broke. Ordered this original replacement and the fit and design was perfect. Looks like the step was never replaced. Very satisfied!

These steps replace the original SR Smith ladder steps/rungs. The steps on our ladder started to erode and white grains of plastic were coming off it. Otherwise it was in great condition. Since the original steps are a bit smaller width than the current-day alternate brand models and because our mounting receivers are installed in masonry around the pool, we had to stay with the original ladder and step size. Our local pool store wanted $40 each, which is ridiculous. I shopped online and found prices below that. While I bought these here for simplicity and a fast delivery, it was not the lowest price I found. If you have time to shop, I noticed that spa places have these for a lower price. There was one out there for about $17/step. I just didn't know anything about them and I was out of time. All in all though these worked out just fine and I'm quite satisfied. Note that we re-used the original stainless hardware, which was in excellent shape. These come without hardware, so if you need new, plan to visit West Marine, hardware store, pool store, etc. to complete the job.

One dimension that was missing was the distance from center of the two end curved sections which is the inside dimension between the two handrails. It is 17-5/16". My 25-year-old tread said SWAN in the middle. I also ordered bolts but found them too short and the wrong size. Measure the old ones first and verify you need new ones. Mine were just fine and I used them again, hopefully for another 25 years.

The rungs on my pool ladder were in need of replacement. They were 24 years old and made by Swan Pool Products Ltd. Searched everywhere but couldn’t find ones that fit. Newer ladders are expensive, different in size that would require retrofit of the pool deck….very expensive. Found these at Amazon….they are identical to the Swan product and fit perfectly. Just saved about $1000. Thanks again, Amazon.

I needed replacement steps for my original Anthony Sylvan pool ladder. My old steps were chalky, brittle and unsafe. These fit perfectly and gave new life to the ladder.
