As someone who has used 2B lead from brands such as Pentel and Pilot to 4B lead of the same brand, this lead has done a great job keeping up in regards to how dark it writes. It feels like a 4B lead but without the smudging. In addition, the lead is 75mm which is longer than the average 60mm lead. Will definitely be buying more in the future.
