We were nervous to buy something important like this on Amazon for our heirloom ‘79 SeaRay 220 CC, but it held up great in its first season. Only bugaboo is it’s not as wide as the original platform and required new holes, but couldn’t find any wider online. We sealed it with teak finish for extra protection, so hopefully it lasts.

Hello. There’s no install instructions provided. The pictures explain most of course. The Rounded Philips head screws are missing ( for the step area ). I’ll have to take a trip to get the correct marine grade parts. Otherwise this is a nice step.

Because my transom slopes outward at the top, I had to relocate the ladder 1/2" further away from the transom in order to get the ends of the ladder to clear the transom when unfolding it. I plugged the old mounting holes for the ladder with teak plugs and drilled new holes for the ladder mounts. Also, because my transom is slightly curved in the horizontal plane I had to remove a couple of the small teak spacers between the major boards in the platform closest to the transom to get enough clearance to accommodate the curve at the middle of the platform. Otherwise, it is a fine product and I expect it to last.

The product looked nice at first glance. Then we saw where the wood was split from the screws and the ladder was not attached flush. The ladder was also somewhat hard to open and close. I will be returning the product and ordering a replacement l

Amazing product for a very reasonable price compared to other brands. Holds very well. Their customer service is fantastic. I had an issue and they wer every responsive and reasonable to accommodate a quick replacement. Highly recommend.
