I don't own a dishwasher, it's next to impossible to hand wash the compartments. They are not 100% separate from each other and it's impossible to clean in the teeny open spaces. I have to use an old toothbrush. Also, who wants food leaking from one compartment to another?

Ordered this for my daughter we use it every day. Easy to clean, I only hand wash it. Fits perfect inside her lunchbox.

I have bought higher end bento boxes, and honestly these are way better. Kids love the space options. It’s so much bigger and cleans up very well. Win for our 3 kids ages 11, 9 and 7!

My son complains the items get all mixed up in the other sections sometimes ruining the food. Not worth the price imo.

When I started shopping for a metal bento box for myself for my lunches, I was shocked at how expensive they were. I settled on this one because it had the best reviews and price point, and I have NOT been disappointed. The lid fits well, it's easy to clean, the sections are a good size, and it packs nicely in my lunch boxes. There are *some* small gaps under the divider walls, so if you have something runny it will seep under, but it hasn't bothered me.

This lunch box is so fabulous I wish I had one years ago. I can tell it will stand up to long term use as I've already washed it multiple times. It helps to easily make a lunch with bits of fruit/veggies/nuts/crackers when you don't have much left in your kitchen.

I thought from the pictures this would be bigger, we use it and the quality is great but you can’t fit half sandwich without breaking into quarters.

The container is self is pretty solid and basic stainless steel. However, there are some gaps between compartments that made juice from fruits run into the next compartment making other food soggy. Good for try snacks

Cute box, great size. I bought this so I could take charcuterie to work. The branding on the lid is a little unsightly.Lost points because the individual compartments are not completely sealed, so if you have something wet, it will leak into the other spots. Otherwise, would recommend.Edit: I cut my finger cleaning the interior with bare hands.

This year she wanted pasta almost every day, so I had to be careful of the sauce, but she loved cute lunches and was more willing to eat real food instead of packaged snacks.Don’t just throw it in a bag, the lid will come off. It fits perfectly into a Thermos lunchbox with a zipper. Or part of the year we tied it in a cloth wrap. Rubber bands would also work if there is nothing drippy. The sections don’t keep liquids contained, which is why we use the little containers for sauce, ranch, or Nutella.Washes well in the dishwasher, but if you leave it submerged in water for several days, you run the risk of rust spots on the section seams, but not as sensitive as canning jar lids.Overall, it’s been a good year, and we plan to use it again next year.

I bought 3 of these and based on reviews I had high hopes. I also have 4 other similar boxes from different companies. These have been my least favoriteThe dividers are folded over at the bottom to connect to the bottom of the container and riveted in. This part is SO hard to clean and stuff gets stuck in there. Of the container we own these leak THE MOST between containers. None of them are leak proof but these are bad. On the bottom where the robots are there is dents and some appear to be rusting on all three of them. Over all I would not recommend these or purchase again.Edit to add: these are rusting!!!!! After only 4-6 total uses…. SO disappointed!!!

Update:It has been almost a year and hundreds of washes through the dishwasher. Unlike the other expensive lunchboxes I've bought for my kids over the year this one's still looking exactly as it did the day I bought it: no rust, no scratches or dents. The lid still fits as well as it did originally. The only negative I'll add having used it for many types of lunches is:1. doesn't fit the standard little sealed containers very well. I finally found a Japanese one that fits but the lid on most of those won't allow it to slide into the compartment and as a result the lid won't close2. The 2 larger compartments BARELY fit a half sandwich. If you get any kind of artisanal or other bread, chances are you'll have to cut your sandwich down to fit.3. Certain types of foods seem to react with the metal (like apple slices) and take on a weird metallic flavor. I was not expecting that!Overall, I'm still happy I bought this lunchbox!-------------------------------------------------I was almost put off by all the negative reviews but found a gently used one here and thought $19 was a small price to pay if it didn't work out. I'm happy to say that the product arrived looking brand new and shiny in the original packaging. It's extremely sturdy and the lid fits nice and snug but is still easy to remove. All the rivets and machined parts are finished very cleanly. You'll have to forgive the photos because I just finished eating my lunch. It packs a full sandwich plus 3 snacks no problem. I'd like to find a small leak proof container for liquids but I'm not paying $40 + for the steel ones I've seen online. What I really like is the modular design and the small footprint. It's also extremely sturdy. I can push down with all my weight on the lid and there is no flex. While I'm using it for my work lunch I'm sure it would be great for hiking and other activities where you'd want a sturdy food container. Overall, I'm really glad I went with my gut and bought this. If I see another "used" one for sale I will definitely be getting some more. I'm just not prepared to pay $80 or more for a new one!
