This works, I actually had a 4th of a watermelon, and it sliced through and was easy to remove from the watermelon. I did have to get a dinner knife to push the piece out of the core, but it wasn't bad. I will definitely use it to make a watermelon drink, and also, I think it looks like a push pop, so I may use some metal skewers and seve them that way, too. I am thinking of using the small watermelons for individual drinks. Then inserting a skewers in the plug and soaking it in a drink mixture for those that may want a little less.

My wife saw this watermelon cutter and just had to have it. We tried it out on a small, pre-chilled watermelon, cutting a round hole, used a single beat on our hand mixer to pulverize the pink flesh, and poured a little gin in it before drinking with a straw. It was pretty tasty! Also a plus is being stainless steel, it's easy to wash. I'm not usually one for uni-taskers, as Alton Brown calls them, but I think I can find some other uses for this gadget...

This stainless steel gadget is very unique in that it makes fun cylinders of watermelon that can be put on a stick, or sliced into small rounds. It is easy to use and easy to clean., This one is fun.
