We installed these pavers 5 months ago on top of our concrete parking pad so it could double as a play area for our dog, and are so happy with the result. It took two of us about an hour to snap them together and get them into place. The pavers provide drainage and keep the gravel from shifting under our feet, making for an easy walking surface. It’s also durable enough that we can park our car with no issues.

We dug our gravel path way too deep and the smooth gravel we filled it pretty much turned it into a ball pit, it was impossible to walk on. We removed the top 2 inches and added these and it’s perfect now. They weren’t cheap but they really fixed our problem.

This is a great purchase. We use them as a base to put our 10 x 16 shed on. They were easy to lay install and they did self level as it is. It indicated very happy will probably be ordering more in the future to do other projects in the backyard

Snaps together easily and also fairly easy to unsnap once you know you have to tilt it. It is not cheap though.

Needed to build a parking pad on our property to keep ground from getting muddy and soft during wet/snowy weather.The squares are very sturdy and the interlocking features makes it easy to set them in a stable platform. Used a tractor to level the ground and then put down landscaping barrier cloth. Put in a thin layer of dirt and then filled the pad to half full with landscaping gravel.Rain & Snow drains well so we can park without stepping into a wet mess.Total project time was about four hours and couldn’t be happier with the results.

I was testing the product as a support base for a landscaping project to use as a load carrying surface every once in a while to access a side yard storage area (while we could also grow/plant flowering ground cover in the various openings). I chose this over the higher priced alternative given we weren't planning on an 18 wheeler weight load as depicted elsewhere. Figured a coverage area of 350 sq ft easily met my needs for a 40' dual row "cart path" under $1000.I placed two 16' tracks (they snapped together easily and are positive locking with some give if your not on a perfect surface like tilled rocky soil) on our flat concrete surface garage floor and drove up on the tracks with a light weight vehicle (2400 lbs) and let it rest overnight. Outcome was zero deflection or any sign of deformation, so perfect in terms of carrying a basic load like a utility trailer or in my case a 14' Boston Whaler, both around a 1000 pounds.The only problem for my application is the top surface of the pavers have 50-100 (didn't count) traction barbs that are perfect for added grip for vehicle traction, but as a walking surface with bare feet or for our dogs they are not so great and would be quite painful if you had to use the "path" regularly, which we would. So just be aware of that aspect.Otherwise great for a parking surface or a grid that's needed for hill planting or soil retention. Just not comfortable with socks or bear feet and paws. If these had a smooth surface it would have perfectly met out needs. I did think of and tried flipping the grids over that do have a smooth surface but the casting on that side has smaller openings to serve as a support base and planting surface area would be less than ideal. So we decided to return and no fault of the product.The other grids may have worked great for our application as they have a smooth surface, but their height was a factor for our needs so the search continues. Nice product, no negatives and functional.

We wanted to create a small piece of lawn in front of our house that could also double as a parking space. I prepared the space that was mostly dirt and rocks by removing about 2.5 inches of material and then adding about 1inch of top soil. Next I laid out the HEXpave grid pieces and interlocked them. This was very easy and they went together so quickly I forgot to take a photo of this step. The HEXpaver area is made up of 3 grids wide and 22 pieces long. I didn't anchor them since there was very little slope. It rained just before I installed the pavers so a little bit of weight forced the moist soil up through the holes in the bottom of the pavers. I added a bit of soil to fill the holes then I laid sod directly over the HEXpavers. To finish I drove my car over the area to force the sod down into the grids. There is a YouTube video that shows how to install sod over the HEXpave system. I have been watering everyday to ensure that the sod grows. Looks great so far. I have driven my car over the 'lawn' a few times and it seems to take the weight of the car without displacing the sod. I'll post a picture after the space is used this summer.
