The shoddy craftsmanship isn't worth the extra money you pay for a starrett. This was my third starrett combination square that arrived with defects. Chipped paint, scratched paint, scratched rule, and the head has edges that were not cleaned up that dont match up from side to side. Very disappointed

This square I purchased for $165.00 should've lasted a lot better than what it did. I purchased a "hardened" blade square, but after 1 week of use it's like any other square I've bought. Either it wasn't the one I ordered or it wasn't "hardened".
