Used it to mount my pre amp/processor under my desk. If you’ve got light 1U audio equipment it works perfectly. Worth the money.

Having seen pictures this is generally installed with the router's ports pointing upwards, I have mounted on a stud wall with the ports pointing left and it is solid as rock and there is no flexing in the router when fixed into the rack.Make sure you know where your studs are if mounted on a stud wall. I drilled a few holes finding them. Easily filled and painted.

Got this to mount my 18i20 audio interface under my desk. It comes with everything you need, screws to mount the mount, and the screws and nuts necessary to mount what ever mountable unit you have.I have had rackmounts in the past the produce a lot of sag, and I was worried with this that there would be sag in the back of my interface. Once I got everything mounted, there is no sag or any give to the mounted interface. I'm impressed with how solid it is holding up.If I need another rackmount for under a desk I will be getting this one again.

So, you've got a light 1U piece of hardware, it's got knobs, and you need to put it somewhere out of the way. Enter this product. The 1U mount is pretty sturdy, and once the screws were installed, it became even more sturdy. I installed a dbx 286s microphone preamp, and there was literally no flex of the preamp or the rack bracket. If you're looking at mounting a few things horizontally under a desk (light things), then I think you've got a good solution right here.

StarTech 1U 19-Inch Steel Vertical Rack. Easy to mount, works perfectly. Metal seems of good quality, does not flex, and has a very solid feel to it. Screws were very good quality. Though if you plan to mount it on a backboard mounted on a concrete wall you will need to get shorter screws. Screw mount locations were good. It comes with the pop-in nut and matching screws, and they fit the square holes I am using this to mount a 24 port switch. Overall great product for a decent price ($46-alsmost the same as the 2U).

Very well built. Sometimes I need to mount a piece of equipment that is deeper than standard wall mount telco racks. Came with all of the mounting hardware needed. I never trust wall mounting screws that come out of China, they are just too easy to strip and break the heads off of. Used US made bolts to secure to wall studs.

This was perfect for my needs. This was for a small network closet space, and this makes it *MUCH* easier to get in and out of that space for any maintenance. I got two of them, and just screwed them into the studs and voila! Hung the patch panel on one, and the switch on the other. Not they don't protrude into the closet, but hang on the wall flush.
