The battery in my kid’s ride on was not holding a charge anymore and this adapter was a much better solution than buying a replacement battery. I already have power tools with batteries that fit this adapter which was a cheap solution.

This Milwaukee 18V battery step down converter works just as it should. A very convenient adapter to have when if you have a surplus of Milwaukee power tool batteries! I keep this on my boat for several 12V devices from water pumps to lights as well as for emergencies if my house batteries fail. Very simple to use and very easy to store. Very happy with the quality of this step down converter!

This battery buck converter works as it should. I use a couple of them to power remote air stations with 12VDC for the control of air cylinders (solenoid valves, timing relays, etc) where running power is not very convenient. I'm not using a large current demand so I'm not stressing the converter to deliver maximum power. But with that said, the output voltage is very stable with a ripple voltage under 1mA. Regulation is right at or a few mV above 12V and stable. I wish I had these years ago as they really make having a good source of 12V power a simple reality.

This works as designed. Every so often I need to power a 12v (common low voltage) item... and I always have my Dewalt batteries charged, which makes this a nice addition to my toolset. The inverter/converter doesn't get overly hot, but it does get warm. The wires are thick enough to support the current. The included 3 fuses are nice to have.My only complaint is the battery attachment is a bit cheap feeling. It is somewhat of a chore to remove from batteries, and if you use this tool a lot, it may eventually break.Overall, its a good value for the money and gives you a solid 12v supply from a Dewalt 20v battery.

A number of times in the past we've had extended power outages, and I've used my power tool batteries to power automotive "12 volt" USB-C PD power adapters to charge electronics. A mid sized M18 6.0 Ah pack has the equivalent capacity as a 30,000 mAh USB power bank - so chances are, if you have M18 tools laying around, you have a lot of battery capacity you could be using for backup power. At 20 amps this DC/DC converter can supply a lot of juice. All you need is a cigarette lighter socket which is available on amazon for about $5, and a suitable USB-C automotive power adapter. The fact that the cable includes an inline fuse and is hard wired to the DC/DC converter is really slick. For the money, this is a really nice setup. The only caveat is that you should be careful to not over-draw these batteries as the only protection is the built in BMS, but that will allow them to be drawn down quite a bit. I'd recommend using the battery meter and disconnecting when or before they show 1 bar of energy left. Alternately, wiring in a XH-M609/XCW-M635 or similar low voltage disconnect would be a good choice for safety.

Man are these things great! If you have a lot of Milwaukee batteries lying around like I do, this is an excellent device to have in hand! The leads are fused, so you don’t have to worry about a short and this steps down your 18VDC Milwaukee battery to 12VDC that so many devices can use. I have made a couple of battery boxes using these bad boys and you can run anything 12V off of this. Cigarette lighter plug? ✅USB ports? ✅ PowerPole connector? ✅ How about maybe a small 400W inverter to convert that 12VDC to 120VAC to charge a laptop, run a fan or maybe some LED lighting? ✅ So many possibilities with this device and some imagination.
