The best soldering iron stand in my opinion. Really heavy duty. It fits a variety of soldering irons from 45w, 60w, 90w and up to 120w. It won't move when placing or retrieving soldering iron from the stand. Highly recommended for your bench. Small, compact size.

This thing is rock solid. Pretty? No. But very functional. I think the spring holder is loose on purpose btw.

This is exactly what I wanted. Cast Iron and heavy. If you buy sheet metal iron stands they are nowhere near as stable and move when you wipe an iron. What's required is a cast iron base. Perhaps there is some reason to prefer one of the light versions of these soldering iron stands, I'm not sure. But I am sure that if you want to swipe the tip but have the stand, well . . . stand, then you want a Cast Iron Base.

After buying a few of those holders with a light weight base that slides all over place and the spring part that twirls around the base, never staying tight, I had enough chasing my iron holder all over the bench. I use HAKKO irons and this one is ideal. The iron fits in the holder snugly like it should. The holder is built like a tank. The base is heavy so it stays put. I just ordered another one for my tool box iron. Very pleased.
