This product confuses me because overall it is really nice quality..yet the ball was completely dropped with the decision to use poorly fitting plastic end caps. Better off with a bolt that won’t fly off when driving.

I loved the quick install on the Aero Crossbars for my Crosstrek. It's solid in construction, and it looks nice on the roof when no bike is hooked up.Update: It served well, but the end caps that keep the wheel harnesses in place keep falling off. It's very annoying, and eventually it fell off while I was driving. I wanted to buy a second one for my other bike, but I'd say this thing is worth closer to 100 bucks. Poor functionality design. The locking mechanism for the middle fork no longer slides up to lock. I have to manually slide it up now and then close the securing mechanism. Kind of hard to accomplish while holding the bike up there.

This is a great rack for 1 bike. It is very sturdy so the bike is secure. It is super easy to load and unload the bike by myself so that cannot be beat. Sturdy, easy to use & secure... there is nothing else I need from a roof bike rack.

I originally had a swagman roof carrier, but the quality from that one to the Thule is night and day. I started to to trust my last carrier with my new expensive mountain bike, and the bike being was expensive. I found it mismatched with such a cheap carrier. Immediately the stiffness of the Tule was noticed while driving over bumps, and dips on the road. I must say the best part and HIGHTLIGHT of the Thule is how easy it is to securely get your bike on the carrier. Installation was incredibly easy. hardware fit perfect of my subaru aero bars, no surprise there. Lastly it looks great!(1st pic is the Thule)(2nd pic is the Swagman) -not recommended

I use this carrier on my WRX STi to mount a 27.5in Giant mountain bike and have zero complains, bike stays very secure through mountains roads/curves. Make sure the ends caps are “clipped” on to the ends of the metal frames. The install is a bit awkward since you have to tigten from the bottom, but after a few tries you get used to it. Uninstallation is easier. Happy with my purchase.

I like it so much . Because: 1. it's made in Sweden, good and stable quality.2. Very considerable features and details: Like the rubber belt to fix the upholder in case it swing when my car was moving.3. easy to install. I paid only half an hour to make it done.4. It made the perfect outlook. It so cool . Isn't it?? jajaja......

We have two of these — one for our 2018 Impreza wagon and another for our 2018 Outback. Both fit across the factory crossbars with no adjustments. Setup was painless and we have been pretty happy. These racks have survived — and so have our bikes — two cross country trips, including the 80 mph section of interstate 10 in Texas and daily trips to the bike path with no issues.Double check the pricing as your dealer may be cheaper. For example, we purchased one from here and another from the dealer with a 30% coupon — both came in the same packaging. We purchased a collapsing plastic step stool for around $10 from Amazon

I bought this to hold bikes I take on our 2017 Subaru Outback to Mexico for donation to an orphanage where we volunteer. Thus, it needed to be sturdy enough for dirt roads, and able to hold a wide variety of bikes. I'm happy to report it is both. I particularly like the clever way the down tube is clamped, and also appreciate the easy-to-use but very secure wheel clamps. Thankfully, the clamp also includes a key lock, for when the car and bike must be left outside overnight. My main concern with it is that it takes a while to install and remove each time I do so (6 nuts and associated parts to install and remove.) I also have one short wheelbase recumbent bike that barely fits within its tire channel - another few inches of length would have been very welcome.
