Working really well for a long time. Then the remote control died and it has been difficult for sunbeam to reimburse my lost my loss!

Pros:Wireless ControlsWhole Bed vs Half Bed Toggle for single peopleWarmth settings are good.Cons:Wires may be felt by sensitive individualsNOT WATERPROOFPrice is rather highDid not come in a zippered bag for storage later on.Batteries NOT included. While I have only had this matress pad for a day. I must admit upon opening the box it came in, I was of two minds. The packaging left much to be desired. The matress pad and accessories were in an open plastic bag which means in the future, some sort of third party storage solution will be needed.I wanted to put the matress pad on immediately, especially seeing as it took over a week after I ordered before it arrived, which I attribute to Amazon's supposed issues with manpower right now as once it shipped it arrived within 2 days as is normal. However I did not, because the remote requires 3 AAA batteries (NOT Included) and between my busy schedule and pandemic hours at the local stores, I was unable to acquire batteries until I was already too fatigued to bother putting the thing on.However, the next day (the date of this being written) I had more time to myself to mess with things like this and was able to set it up. I sleep on a queen size mattress in a 5th wheel which has a storage area under the bed, which meant I was worried about those wires which the very quality looking user manual states not to put between the mattress and the bed frame but shows the wires underneath the bedframe. I instead had to route the wires along the edges of the bed and there was PLENTY of length left over although that may not be the case for a King size bed.Once it was installed, with batteries in the remote, I found the toggle switch on the underside of the remote that allows for controlling the temperature on the left and right sides of the pad in one fell swoop (perfect for me). I got in bed, started messing with the controls, found that I needed it on the highest setting for my feet, at a moderate level 5 for the center of my body, and a modest level 2 for the head of the bed.I took the best nap I have had in YEARS and even after getting woken up by a call, I was able to fall back asleep quickly.I do think a few things could be improved though. First and foremost is the fact that it is NOT waterproof. I know Sunbeam has waterproof heated mattress pads so why isn't this "premium" model waterproof?A non-closable bag isn't adequate packaging for something like this either. Even the cheapest sheets come in a package I could easily store them in later on.I also know Sunbeam makes some batteries or at least puts their name on some I regularly see at the Dollar Store. One set of 3 AAA batteries wouldn't go amiss even if they would die fairly quickly it would be nice, especially considering the price point.Lastly, while I did not notice the wires once I was in bed laying down, It is hard for me to believe Sunbeam hasn't found a way to make the wires less obvious and I know others might notice. After all, I know people who can't sleep on sheets unless the right amount of fabric softener is used, meanwhile I have had my phone under me without waking or realizing until much later.

Very nice to get into a warm bed on cold nights. Easy to program and operate even in the dark by touch. A bit tricky to get the wires beneath a bed skirt if it isn’t split at the corners unless you put it under the whole skirt. Arrived on time and as described. Would buy it again.

I like to keep my bedroom quite cold but hate getting into a cold bed. I've had a heating blanket on my bed for years. A friend told me about using a heated mattress pad. It is FAR better. Give it 10 minutes and the heat has gone through the blankets and the mattress is toasty warm. Being able to adjust 6 zones is perfect!BUT the best feature of all is the remote that works from a distance. I leave it sitting next to a living room chair and turn it on from there so its heated by the time I head to bed.

This is our third mattress pad in the past five years. The first was OK, but needed to be replaced after four years. The one we purchased last year lost most of it's heating ability in just a few months. The new Sunbeam Therapeutic was comparatively expensive, but worth every penny.Pros1. Like our others, it has two sides so we can set our own preferences, but it has separate connections at the bottom of the pad as well. No more large, hard lump in the middle (we used to have to cover it with a towel to avoid stubbing our toes).2. Each side has three separate zones, so you can have different temperatures for head, torso and feet. Fabulous for me - I like cold pillows and toasty toes.3. It's really warm. We haven't set it at more than level 2 and it does provide therapeutic help for my other half who has rheumatoid arthritis. He's sleeping better than he has in ages and remarkably he's snoring less.4. You can preheat it and never climb into a cold bed again and the preheat setting works faster than simply turning it on a while before getting between the sheets, as we did with our previous ones.5. The lighted background on the controls goes dark after a few minutes for those of us who need it dark to sleep.6. The pad is thick enough that you don't feel the wires.7. It arrived very quickly and we had it when our alpha cat got pissed (literally) at me for spending a night with my new grandson. I was saving it for a holiday gift, but opened it rather than waiting for the soiled one to dry.Cons1. Sometimes it gets too warm and we have to turn it off, which is not a big deal.2. There is only one remote, although it has separate controls for each side. Again, this is not an issue for us - we just keep it on the window ledge above our bed.3. The directions instruct you to place the control box under the bed near the foot of the bed. Great, except we have a platform bed and putting it on the floor at the bottom of the bed would be a tripping hazard. We placed it at the top of the bed between the frame and the wall.4. Sometimes, I can hear it "hum" when it cycles on. This probably would not be noticed by most people - it's just that we live in a remote and extremely quiet place. Actually, the sound helps me fall asleep!
