For anyone wondering why some people would order impact sockets in 1/4 drive - its because impact sockets come with the hole near the base to accept pin locks, which keeps the sockets locked into the adapter being used or the impact wrench. For my specific purpose, this will be used with an Irwin 1/4 hex drive to 1/4 square drive w/ pin lock. So when inserted into an impact driver the socket and adapter cant fall off while working at heights. Its a nice little thin walled impact socket - and Iām sure itll work perfectly just like any other Sunex socket. Just what i needed. Ordering the 1/2ā socket in 1/4 drive as well, and an additional pin lock adapter.
