Your cart is empty.Our Synergee 1” Barbells are perfect for novice athletes learning to lift and intermediate lifters who want to hone-in their technique with lightwork. We have three different options to suit your specific training needs: a 5-foot bar weighing 6.5 KG/14.3 LB , a 6-foot bar weighing 7.5 KG/16.5 LB, and a 7-foot barbell weighing 8.7 KG/19.2LB. These barbells all offer 1” diameter grip, 1” diameter sleeves for 1”-opening plates, and 1.2 mm diamond knurl. Each bar has a 50 000 psi tensile strength rating and a 350 lb capacity. This bar has no whip, so it would best suit powerlifting athletes. Since this bar is more compact than our Olympic Barbells, it’s great for home gym spaces; and it provides Novice or Elementary lifter with a bar very comparable to our Essential Barbell!

As far as standard barbells go, this is pretty good. No manufacturing defects unlike some of my cheaper bars. Knurling is decent but not very aggressive. Fine bar for light home exercise.

So far I’ve enjoyed this bar, quality seems good and it works for what I need it for. My only complaint is that the diameter is a little smaller then stated which means my weights are a little loose but it’s not a deal breaker, just a bit annoying

When getting back into free weights once again, I had to remind myself that I needed to include the weight of the bar along with the plates. This bar came in at around 17 lbs by itself. So I felt a bit better knowing I was actually lifting a tad more than what I thought. Mine is a 6 footer and though it is a bit wide it still can be used on my smaller Marcy weight bench I just bought. Solid and weighty for what its suppose to be used for. Love it!!

There are not a lot of quality 1" 7ft bars nowadays. Most are lower priced and the quality often reflects that. This Synergee bar has all the right measurements for heavy power rack use and the build quality is excellent. The knurling is just right and mine came straight as an arrow (verified by a laser line). I've loaded it with 350lbs without any bending and suspect it can hold quite a bit more. The only bar I've owned that was better was the UK version of the York Beefy Bar (which seems too costly/difficult to import to the US now). The York had an olympic diameter grip but other than that this bar is a close second.

With my home gym setup (10 x 12 room) my old 45 lb olympic barbell was a bit unwieldy, plus I had sold all my plates and bar during the pandemic. This 7’ bar is much easier to maneuver in a small room plus I can make use of my investment in 1” standard plates. Another benefit is this bar is rated to 350 lb when most competitors are limited to 250. Great add to my home gym setup!

I have both the 1 and 2 diameter bars. Both are sturdy and affordable. I have put close to 300 pounds on the bar and they are sturdy.

I purchased this bar in lieu of others because I thought Synergee was a good company. I am disappointed because the bar specified as 1” is closer to 7/8”. That means that plates, collars and fat grips don’t fit right but what is most important is trust. When a company says a spec is one thing but we discover it is actually something else, that company loses credibility, as it should. The word nominal is never mentioned and a specification is just that; specific. RitFit does the same thing with its 28mm EZ curl bar (actually 25mm) and I won’t purchase anything from either company again.

Ordered the 5ft version and it arrived on time and exactly as described. I needed a new bar to use for the Les Mills at home workouts I do (BodyPump and Strength Development) because the original one I had couldn't handle heavier weight. This one is SOLID and will meet my needs. I'll never be a super heavy lifter but this works well with my max (for now) of 15kg on each side. Works with all my 1 inch holed plates from other sets. Etching is perfect and not too rough.

Disliked having to wait for so long for new stock. Full warranty provided. What else could you need for at home barbell that doesn't take up so much space like the bigger equipment at gyms. This bar is second to none for Standard Bars at this price point. 5 stars and will buy again for deadlifts/landmine workouts.
