Synology has always proven to be a great product for NAS storage. It's easy to use interface and support make it friendly to even the most novice user. Having used larger models from Synology in the past, the setup on this was quick and easy. This device was setup in a small office to sync with offsite cloud storage to provide a single resource for all users and eliminating syncing files to every workstation. This freed up space on the workstation hard drives and improved overall performance of file access by keeping a local copy. Highly recommend this product.

Great SSD. Reliable and rarely need to reboot. Easy to install SSD and Synology interface is very user friendly. We are using a few of these drives for offsite storage of our backups. Easy to connect and disconnect from our networks.

I like this one bay device, although it only has one slot. Synology has a really good software development. It is handy to use synology drive and movie services.

Update: I had rated this 5 stars, but now 1 star is too many.I just upgraded to the new 7.1 software and it shows my drives as "critical, replace immediately" this is totally bogus. The drives are fine, but Synology decided to suddenly only support a handful of cherry-picked drive models. My drives have been working fine up to the release of 7.1. This makes the drive health management/warning feature completely useless. I'm greeted with dramatic alerts on the drive management screen, and annoying email warnings just because they decided to suddenly limit their supported drives.I won't be buying Synology again. This is a HORRIBLE customer experience, and If I'm forced to spend thousands of dollars on new drives, I'll spend it on a different NAS.Seriously, I love my Synology, I love the OS, I love everything about it — except it's ability to provide a safe and secure place to store my data. With bogus threatening warnings showing on all interfaces, the unit is no longer viable.Avoid Synology unless you're willing to limit your drive choices to super-expensive models with no demonstrated benefits other than making Synology happy.Seriously awful decision, I suggest new management at Synology is the fix.
