This light was for my sons aquatic turtle tank. Turtles live a very long time and my son has had this turtle since he was little. He is now 21. As you can image we have been through many different lighting and heating features as we always want to make all of our animals happy, even the aquatic ones, so when it was time for a new lighting feature, we tried this one. The great thing about this light is that you can either keep it on top of the screened top of the tank or screw it into it. Since our aquatic turtle only needs his tank filled half way as he likes to lay on his rock and absorb the warmth of the light, we found it easier just to lay it on top of his tank since that way there is no chance of water hitting it. We received the smallest of all the lighting options but it was still big enough for his 20 gallon tank. We are very happy with this light and would recommend it.

Update: a month to the day after I got this the bulb burned out. It was on a timer, on for about 10 hours per day, which means the bulb had around 300 hours of use before burning out. I may have gotten a bad bulb but I need to caution against this item due to issues with quality control.Original review:I got this for an anole habitat. The light is the right size to sit on top of the cage, with the only issue being the cord attaches at one end and is a fairly thick and rigid cord. The result is that the cord has it's own preference on where it wants to rest and it can pull the light out of position. It's also awkward to have that cord sticking out the side of the tank. Much of this is my own specific issues for my setup, but a more flexible cord and smaller connection, perhaps different location of the cord on the light, would all improve this. The light puts out "moderate" UV as measured by a color changing UV test card. That's perfect for my use.The light puts out very little heat so it won't work to add a basking spot, just UV.Overall, this is a good choice. The tube type lights are considered superior options for providing UV for your animals.I'd say a fair price for this would be around $30 so the current price of $35 is acceptable.

This Hygger UVB light combo kit is just what I needed for my reptile enclosure! The fixture is compact but powerful, and the 10.0 UVB bulb is great for desert species like my tortoise. Easy to set up, well-made, and the jungle green design even looks nice in the tank. Highly recommend for both tropical and desert setups!

Perfect size and strength for my leopard gecko. He loves basking under it. Well made, feels sturdy and the bulb fits well.

This light fixture has been perfect for my bearded dragon setup. The UVB output is strong and reliable, and the fixture itself feels sturdy and well-built. It was easy to mount securely over the tank using zip ties on the screen lid, and it fits snugly without shifting. My dragon is basking more and seems happier already. Great value and performance for the price!

I have already re-purchased another for my Herman’s tortoise habitat. This light is as close to perfect as I have found! It is an excellent value, perfect size almost no installation and just works great. I find it to be durable yet low profile enough to not be distracting.

Update: the seller contacted me and has let me know that the manual was worded misleading, and they intend to fix it. The light will withstand humidity but the power supply may not. So far the light and cord are holding up well in my enclosure and at this time am highly considering purchasing another one.1) Just got it and though the light works it didn't come with a connecting cord to run 2 lights together.2)I was reading the user manual and it says don't have in humid environments. Guess we'll see how long it lasts and that will depend if I buy another.

It's bright but the light is soft if that makes sense. This is perfect for a baby dragons enclosure, id get one of the bigger ones for an adult as this one is only 12 inches. It's cool that you can daisy chain a few of them together for multiple enclosures so you don't take up the plugs on your light timer. We have all Arcadia lights and this feels and works just as good. The power cord on this one actually stays in better than the Arcadia lights. Everything we want in our reptile supplies, it's cost effective, installs easy, and it works as advertised. Can't complain.
