These brackets and shackles fit perfect and look great. However, they utilize one small bolt to attach them to a single wall of the frame, unlike the factory tow hook (which must be removed for installation) that uses two long bolts that go all the way through the frame. I don’t think I’d actually pull anything with these, but they look really tough when I’m parked at the mall.

First of all, I love the look of these D ring shackles. Much better looking than the factory hook on the Tacoma. Super easy to install. They are easy to take off and use for connecting to other trucks and large enough to be used with wide tow straps. I was actually able to use them for the first time when my son's car was stuck in a ditch and these made making the necessary connections a breeze.
