My wife says: These TAINSKY Leather Twisted Polymer Clay Cutters are well described in the listing and pictures apart from an error in the product size picture which claims that cutters are about 1.22". In fact the cutters are between approximately 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" long. They came with two smaller bonus cutters -a little cow and a medallion. I generally work in cone 5/6 stoneware clay and most of these cutters produced earrings similar to those pictured in the listing. The one exception was the cutter that was supposed to produce in-cut edges. This is probably due to the extra thickness of wet clay and the necessity of using plastic wrap to be able to 'unmold' the earrings. This cutter produced a fine earring -just not what was shown in the picture. The pictures also showed a nubbly texture which presumably needs to be applied to the clay separately. On the whole I am happy with these cutters and glad to have ordered them.

These will not work with very soft clays. I tried plastic on top, corn flour on the clay and corn flour is the only thing that worked. I was trying it with scrap clay, so that had become quite soft. They also take some time to get used to, so try a little bit before getting frustrated. They certainly are a unique concept personally. Oh, and I also got a few bonus Christmas cutters in the box, so that was a plus!

I’m Going to keep trying but I cannot get them to work. And clean up is a nightmare.They didn’t cut thru the clay. Even with cornstarch everything stuck. I had to use clay tools and toothpicks to clean and then finish with a brush!
