it’s a little thicker than i’d expected -closer to 1/4” than 1/8”, but the color and craftsmanship are great and i have infinity projects that will benefit from the introduction of a high quality leather strap.

Good for popper at the end of a lead or saddle string.

The leather is very nice quality, but it much too thick for saddle strings. I wanted it for a popper on the end of a lung line. I used it anyway, but would prefer the thinner leather like for saddle strings. Tandy has been around for long enough they aught to know by know the proper thickness for saddle strings.

Making a quirt for my horse this leather was easy to work with, not flimsy at all.

I decided, in my infinite wisdom, to make a bunch of lead ropes (for horses) for the ranch where I volunteer. I wanted them to be as nica as possible, so I bought New England Ropes Treeline rope, some stainless steel clasps, some rope clamps, and used about 18" of this leather to make the poppers at the end. Worked out great. The color is perfect. The leather just thick enough that it'll hold up for a while, but pliable enough to be easily "worked".

Unusable for what I needed it for. From the other customer reviews, it sounds like there is NO quality control. THICKNESS of the leather is just as important as the width and length. If it was the thickness was what I was led to believe, it would have been perfect. At twice the thickness, it is totally unusable.

I found that when I was making A replica Claymore that it's a great leather for the handle. It is nice for a hand grip on pretty much everything that needs one.

I needed some strip pieces of leather for a project. I bought two different pieces of squareleather but one was to tense and the other was very fine, but neither suited mypurpose. Then I saw this Tandy Leather Saddle string and it was also in the colorI needed and the correct width. So I bought a couple and they resulted in exactly what I was hoping for.Strong, fresh and a nice color. Perfect.
