I work in a heating plant that is almost 100 years old. Very bright and has a crazy good range. Works great for following water and steam lines and for pointing out various things throughout the plant during new hire training.

Needs the following:1. Instructions, the pointer came in bubble wrap with a cable and the pointer. Nothing else.2. The ad needs to warn the pointer is OVERLY bright and NOT really acceptable for a small room. I have a Logitech integrated pointer and remote (to run powerpoint slides), see the photo attached on the difference in brilliance.Were the beam less intense, I'd keep this, but this is a real hazard.

The clip was super stiff and made it difficult to clip to my pocket, and it just broke off after a couple weeks.

First of all this thing is incredibly bright, which, for me is a good thing. As a home inspector, I was able to point out a roofing defect from the other side of the street in Broad daylight. But it is still tolerable indoors. It may be a little excessive in a dark boardroom during a PowerPoint presentation (we’ll see after I do my luncheon with the Realty office) Feels a little light in hand, hopefully build quality and battery life stand the test of time. So far so good!

I agree with some previous reviews that if you are using this for a presentation it is a little bright; which works perfect for me!! I use this on job sites to show technicians where equipment is to be installed and it works great. It shoots a very long distance and the brightness is awesome as sometimes you would norm ally need it to be darker in certain areas to see. So glad I got this one!!
