I picked up a whole pack of these to repair a thick double-bridle leather belt I purchased from Filson but came...broken. Rather than send it back (there were no replacements) I opted for the DIY fix.See attached photos - worked flawlessly. The one with the slot head is obviously the replacement.As far as "value for money" is concerned, I was a little cheesed I had to buy a whole bag of these things since I only needed one. But for others this may very well be a great value.

These worked for my project, installing a 36" piano hinge, but just barely. The screws are all only one length. I didn't measure them but they only have 4 threads. The posts are only tapped partway so you cannot use longer screws unless you want to go through the hassle of tapping them (and have a metric 4.7 bottom tap). But they were inexpensive, they look good and they mostly appear well made. I used all but 1 of the 12mm posts and none were bad. I found 1 screw with a bad cut for the screwdriver.I knew what I was buying and they met expectation.

For thick documents too big for brass pins, these work well. The photo shows a legal size 3/8" thick document bound by a fiberboard cover. You can see the bendable strap that is part of the fiberboard cover. The outer holes, coincidentally, are the same spacing as the outer holes of a standard 3 hole binder punch. The fiberboard strap is the same width as a standard two hole punch. These studs fit well into standard punch holes. Gently tighten with pliers & screw driver and it is bound firmly. Without the studs, the papers become crooked and loose.

They come in 3 different lengths and the price was great. Haven’t used any yet so don’t know if they work as well as weaver but will try them

I bought these because I need longer screws for something I already own. This package provides a nice assortment of various length receivers, but the screws themselves are all one length (short). This is a great variety pack if you need the full assembly, but is not useful if you need various length screws for already existing Chicago Screw applications.
