I got this for my emergency kit. It a cute little radio and functional. The color is fun. Sound is decent. It gets the job done. The price is reasonable. headphone jack is a plus.

This is a good, basic table top radio that sounds very good.It has a large front firing speaker that makes both music and voice sound very clear and pleasant. The sound is the best feature. Another great feature is it takes the larger more powerful longer lasting D Cell batteries that are easy to get anywhere. Even better is it can plug into a wall power outlet directly using the included AC power cord/plug. The AC power input is in the back which is a good spot for a table top radio. Though kinda large, this radio is still very portable, it is light and has a solid fold down handle.The AM and FM radio reception is OK. It does the job picking up my local stations and once tuned in stays locked on and again, I must say, this radio makes anything sound good. This is a well tuned radio, for sound that is. The tuning for selecting radio stations is the downside. The tuning dial is hard to read so those who want to be able to tune by the station numbers will be a bit bothered. There is not tuning light indicating the station is properly selected. This radio I must tune by ear as the light embossed arrow on on the tuning dial provides little idea of where you might be on the dial.Otherwise, the basic controls are easy to see and use. The volume and tuning knobs on the front and sliding AM, FM and Shortwave switch on the side do make this radio easy to operate. I got nothing on Shortwave, no surprise as I live at the bottom of a canyon and seldom are radios in this class good for that anyway.Nevertheless, this is really just a good enough AM FM radio that sounds good. There is a standard 3.5mm headphone jack on the side too. I got the teal/blue green radio and the color and it does look nice. Not a bad deal for a good sounding radio that operates well on AC or battery. And sounds this good.

I got this radio for my husband and me to use when we go camping or in emergencies where we can't use our phones, and I absolutely love it. Surprisingly, it has great sound for a reasonable price. I ordered the teal-colored radio and it looks adorable, plus is functional. I could see this as a perfect little radio for a senior citizen who needs a simple radio that is easy to use. They can click the radio off by turning the volume down. A big dial is used to turn to the radio station of their choice. There is a red light near the word "Power" so they know it's on. And there is just one slider on the side where they can change it to FM/AM/Short Wave. I have not used the short wave functions but the AM and FM stations come in clearly and the speaker gives a rich sound. I highly recommend this if you're looking for something similar, just a simple but cute radio.

This Tendak Portable Radio AM FM SW, Shortwave Radio has a powerful ability to pick up radio stations with a clear, strong sound. In my area, the FM band brings in the most stations. The included instructions give an overview in English, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, and Español. I love that you can power this radio with the included power cord, or you can use 3D batteries. There is an antenna on top for fine-tuning your signal strength. Well made, well priced. Would recommend!
