I a hat like this and like it so much I purchased one for my wife. Take care of it, and it will last forever. I think they look great and are much better than cheap hats. Costs more, but well worth it. And I am a cheapskate!

Bought this for my trip to Rome in September. Kept the sun from burning my head and the mesh at the top of the hat allowed my head to breathe. Packable, lightweight, stylish, wrinkle resistant and a strap for windy days. Perfection! Size and fit seem to be spot on

Although this seemed to be well made, and the blue hat looked nice, I returned it because it sat too high on my head. Keeping it on in windy conditions would have required tying it on.

I've purchased my share of Tilley hats and this one did not disappoint! Purchased for my son who was moving to Arizona. I knew he would be doing a lot of hiking. This hat and a personal GPS, (mama bear), were the two essential items I wanted for him. This hat is so stylish, he was wearing it before he made the move. He now wears it on every hike and anytime he will be spending time outside. He boasts about the air that runs through the hat keeping your head cool while shielding from the sun. Per Tilley, the hat also has an area to store something small inside, such as identification, etc.

Ya había comprado dos Tilley, excelentes aún después de años y uso. Este tiene aumentos para tratar de que quede en forma original y siempre queda arrugado y deforme. Siempre pido 7 3/8 y este, misma talla y está un poco más grande. 😡

Not yet extensively tested but comfortable and well made. Others have advised choosing a size larger than usual. Even using the Tilley measuring guide this hat is on the tight side, go up another size. This is a medium brim and doesn't quite give my face the shade from the sun I was hoping for, but a larger brim might be less useful when wearing a rucksack, or if you need to look up a lot. I suspect I might need a few more hats for different jobs.

Tilley builds one tough hat. Since 2003, this makes the sixth hat I've owned from them. As others have said, getting the correct fit is crucial towards making these hats fit right. The tape measure says 7 1/4 for me. That's what I ordered back then in the duck cotton material. They do fit tight and they do need stretched out after washing them. My wife later bought a nylon style in a 7 1/4 and it was just too tight. The hemp style was a 7 1/4 and it fit a little looser. Even after washing it, shrinkage was minimal. But this one, I went with the 7 3/8 and that gave me the "two finger Tilley fit". I wore it the next day doing yard work, sweated like crazy then hand washed it, wrung it out like it was a towel, then shaped the brim back out and hung it over a milk jug to dry. I use the Kirkland brand milk containers from costco because they don't require cutting the top off. Next day the shape is perfect and no shrinkage. This is the lightest Tilley of all I've bought as well as my coolest of all. The hemp comes in second. This hat is going to give me many years of sun protection and keep the sweat out of my eyes. This seller had their name stamped on the warranty card already which I've never seen on any previous warranty cards which I thought was a good thing. I don't think I'll ever have to use it...my twelve year old hats are still going strong. You can't go wiring with these hats.... They are the best out there.
