Sonido fuerte que cumple su función. Si alguna vez por desgracia lo tienes que usar, la verdad que si hay alguien cerca no pasará desapercibido.

We own a business and a second home in another state so my wife and I travel quite a bit. It’s not uncommon that she has to travel alone and sometimes she arrives at airports or hotels after dark. She’s been wanting one of these personal alarms, so I took a chance and ordered this alarm in turquoise.Features we like:For a safety travel alarm, this product is attractive and my wife loves the color (I did good on that!).Batteries are already installed and it’s ready to go. We went out on the back porch and tested the siren and strobe light at night. We live in the country so didn’t bother any neighbors. The alarm is activated by simply pulling the plastic loop from the rest of the case. It’s easy to pull out but you don’t have to worry about it coming off accidently – a little tug is required. My wife practiced activating it and reinserting the loop several times – even in the dark. Reinserting the loop stops the alarm. She had no problem.Sound level: I measured the sound pressure level on both A and C weighted scales, which made no noticeable difference due to the relatively high frequency of the alarm. I unscientifically measured just over 110 dB, not quite the 130 dB as stated on the Amazon product write-up. That’s still very loud! The strobe light is also bright enough to get someone’s attention but it’s fairly directional. For example, if it were partially covered in your hand, it probably wouldn’t be seen easily.Observations:After trying several approaches for carrying the alarm around, my wife did not like the added bulk on her key chain. She much preferred doing away with the longer loop and connecting it directly to her bag. It has gone through TSA security just fine now at the airport so no issue there. We did not attempt to get to the battery although I read several reviews that expressed concerns. I’ll try this later and update my review if I see an issue.Summary:This is a nice-looking safety alarm and has passed my wife’s “cosmetic appearance evaluation” which is frequently a challenge! It’s easy for her to use and carry. She actually likes the way it looks attached to her bag, which always accompanies her while travelling. She feels safer; I do too. I’m rating this safety alarm 5-stars. Thanks for reading.

My daughter works night shift at a hospital and has to go out to a questionable parking ramp at weird hours. Sure there are cameras - but if that doesn't initially deter criminal activity, it's only effective after the fact to help capture the criminals.I got this alarm for her to carry on her bag if something ever happens. It has a keyring and a locking ring to attach it to your bag. To make the alarm sound and the strobe flash - you just need to pull the pin. It is loud. After my testing I still heard the buzz in my ears for a long time, and the strobing was annoying even in decent light.Luckily nothing has ever happened to my daughter - but if there was a sketchy situation, I think this alarm might help startle the would-be attacker for a few seconds and might be enough to get away - or at least draw attention to what is happening. The pin is the ring on the top of the alarm. If I was the designer, I would have given another hole so there would be a way to attach the alarm to your bag or purse. That way, after you pull the pin, the alarm is still attached to your bag (and if they were stealing the bag - they would still be holding the alarm). That said, I can imagine scenarios where pulling off the alarm to separate it from the pin would be the right move. Just a thought - and not enough to remove a star. This could be helpful to you in the right situations.

I've gotten a few of these, from different brands, for my girls and this is only the second one we haven't thrown away. It was actually my favorite one... until I tried to change the battery.Instead of sliding off a door, replacing the battery, and sliding the door back on, you have to pry the two halves of the alarm apart. That alone almost ruins it (really digs into the plastic unless you have the perfect sized screwdriver and use it just right). Then don't pry off the black circle, because that's the alarm cover; you have to unscrew a couple eyeglass-size screws and pull out the circuit board, THEN you can change the batteries. But don't try to pull off the cover or you'll mess something else up, you need to push them out from the side. Then once you have the new ones in, reverse all that. And I almost had to get some pliers to get the two sides to clip back together. But it's reliable, which we have found to be touch and go so far, and it's one of the loudest "130dB" alarms we've heard so far.It also has another feature that I'm not sure how I prefer it yet... the other alarm we use also has a pull-out part that sets off the alarm, but it stays attached. That is REALLY nice when you're trying it out and the light is flashing so bright that you can't see the hole to put the pin back into so it will stop hurting your ears. On the other hand, if it's harder for you to put the pin back in, it will be harder for a would-be assailant to just push the pin back in and silence the alarm; especially if my daughter throws the pin so the alarm CAN'T be silenced. So that feature is subjective.I would prefer to carry this alarm out of the ones I've tried, but changing the battery is such an issue that I think this one is going to need replaced more often as well.
