I am sure there are better ones out there but not for this price. Good quality for the occasional use like I intend. Some would say these aren’t for all day everyday use but then again I don’t want to work that hard using manual tools. Perfect for the hobby shops and small woodworking enthusiasts. Would buy again.

If I could leave a zero, I would. I got this item for making carving easier on my wrists as I carve wooden spoons. Right out of the box, there was no protection for the blade and multiple dents in the bevel. Also the bevel itself is uneven, If I were to keep this item, I would need to realign the bevel and sharpen it myself. The cheap quality also makes me believe the metal will not hold an edge well. I will be requesting a return for this item. If you are looking for a decent draw knife for spoon carving, bowl making, handle carving or bark shaving, I suggest investing.Update…I gave it a second chance. I did a quick sharpen using some wet dry sandpaper. Within the first few pulls on some fresh cut poplar(one of the softest carving woods available) the right handle came loose and it was a struggle to pull the blade. Please be careful if you do buy this drawknife as the blade is very dull right out of the box with chips and dents. Better yet, return it and invest in something with a better quality as that is what I will be doing!

Worked well for the price. Required some sharpening when first used, but I have been happy with it for basic wood trimming. and removing lots of bark from smaller logs.
