I bought this 6 months ago and yesterday a piece fell out and now it won't work. 😬.. I really liked the fact that it is titanium. But it really should last longer than 6 months

First, i found this whistle to be dog-terrifying ear-piercingly high pitched & loud. Hubby confirmed this- ----lost in the woods, scare all the birds away loud. I don't think the Amazon ad included enough photos, so I have included 2 here of everything that was in the envelope (except for the quarter, that's hubbys) Nicely packaged, bagged inside a bag, inside a plastic pouch X2...Second, There are 2 different style chains, both about the same length, around 23.5 inches. One has a clasp like a necklace & the other is the simple connection like you'd see on a ceiling fan chain, you cannot connect the 2 to make one long 48 inch chain. But that would hang down into your underwear and who wants that? The chains seem to be good quality, it looks like you have a pendant on.The whistle itself is 1.5 inches, not including the little metal hoop. See photo with a quarter for comparison. Pretty small but I didn't want a coaches whistle around my neck.If I was a dude I would be buying one of these for every lady/female/girl in my family. Oh, sorry, was that sexist?? Too bad....safety before political correctness.

I got my mother and myself one of these whistles to use in case of emergency. I actually used it not too long ago. I saw a man attacking a girl ( could of been his wife, girlfriend or stranger) regardless, I blew the extremely loud whistle. He stopped to look around and I saw it gave her time to run. Highly recommend for gifts or any woman in your life. Great for college students too.
