I had previously ordered the Mac version of this doc for my Mac setup, and I was so happy with it, that I ordered ordered this dock for my windows (work) setup. It is every bit as nice as the Mac version, so I’m going to leave this very similar review, at the risk of being redundant. This is really a beautiful and functional dock. (Unlike my Dell dock, which sat on the floor under my desk, and is now getting thrown away). I'm not going to get into the features, because you can learn about those easily enough from the Amazon description, but rather, I just want to say what really impressed me about the dock. Nor, am I really posting photos of the dock itself, because it's not necessary. It looks just like it does in the amazon photos.Let's start with first impressions. The box and packaging are very nice, compact and efficient and it feels like quality. I would compare the packaging to any Apple product I've purchased. This dock did not come in a felt-like bag like the Mac version, but since it cost a lot less, I’m personally totally fine with that. It's not really a big issue for me, because I throw away that stuff after the set up, but if I were buying this dock as a gift for somebody, I'd be happy knowing THEY were gonna be impressed when they opened it up.If you need them, the instructions are simple and straight forward, but the unit is plug and play, so again, no big deal. I was very happy to NOT have to download display drivers for this unit. (Just one less step.). HOWEVER, I did have an issue setting it up for my 2 4K monitors. (The 1080p monitors were no trouble at all.). To avoid this issue, make sure your laptop supports DSC or Display Stream Compression. Ultimately, mine did but it required me to make a phone call to my IT department to adjust some setting on the lap top.Which brings me to a comment about TobenOne’s customer support. A simple email to them started the conversation to resolve my monitor issue, and their customer support is fantastic. They are very knowledgeable about their product, prompt, concise, and very polite and helpful. I sent them photos of my setup, and screen shots about the laptop’s capabilities, and they identified the problem immediately. They really were a pleasure to work with. But I digress. What I really like about this dock, is the weight and the feel of the product. It feels well made, not flimsy or cheap. It is a solid anchor for the laptop to sit on top of the unit. The flip up tabs are substantial, and well built. The rubber feet on the dock and the tabs keep a firm grip on the Laptop. The laptop does not move around easily on top of the dock, which is nice and feels solid. The dock is also pretty much completely hidden under the Dell Laptop that I use for work. The power button on the side, and the card slots on the side are not as easily accessible as front mounted slots. But since the laptop is sitting on top of the unit, that would not be an option, and since those features are not an everyday utility for me, it's not an issue. I do like having a power button to turn off the dock, to shut down the peripherals, but the laptop continues to charge. If you are concerned about battery memory, and leaving your laptop plugged in all the time, just unplug the host cable.I'm also happy about the 3.5mm audio port. The sound was excellent through a pair of 3.5mm headphones, which I wear during zoom meetings to block out outside noise. Sure I could plug them into the laptop as well, but that is the POINT of having the dock. To be able to pull one plug and run with the laptop. Two last points. First, I ran a speed test to make sure the ethernet cable was delivering the speed I was paying my ISP for. (if you do this, turn off wifi first). I have a cat 6. Cable plugged into the dock. Download registered at 738.2mbps and upload registered at 28.4mbps. Obviously, superfast, and very nice. But I am happy to know the dock is not impeding the speed I'm paying for. Secondly, I'm happy it has a security lock option on it. I'm using it at home, for now, but I am going to bring it to my office and I am DEFINITELY locking it up, because I would be very sad if it grew legs.Final thoughts, This is a beautiful, functional and quality built dock for my Dell Laptop, and much nicer than the brick Dell dock that work gave me. I feel like the price point is well worth the quality of the build and the function and features. The only suggestion I would make to a buyer considering one, is make a list of what you what to plug into it, to ensure it has enough ports for the devices on your list, and pay attention to the type of port your devices require. If your list matches up with the ports the device offers, buy this thing. It's well worth it.

The Dock Itself:I bought this dock because I travel often to and from University with my ASUS ROG FLOW X13 laptop, as well as work in a tech repair shop where I often need lots of USB ports and video outputs. From someone whose used other low quality docks before, I can comfortably say this is the best option out there. The dock itself is high quality aluminum that is smooth to the touch and very resistant to drops or rough handling. I was worried the rubber on the stands would get worn since you need to grab the rubber with your finger to pull it up, but so far they have held up extremely well. I don't use the stands very often since I mostly use my laptop in 360° mode, but from the couple times I have used it, the rubber is very grippy and ensures your laptop does not slide off. It has rubber pads on the bottom that grip very well to any surface, so I've never had an issue with my laptop sliding around trying to use it.All claims about the transfer speeds of the USB ports are 100% honest. With my laptop, I could comfortably run a 4k monitor alongside two 1080p monitors from the three display outputs, while also charging my laptop with the 100W PD port with the included power adapter. This is also while using a wireless mouse, keyboard, and headphones, all of which use a 2.4GHz dongle. Keep in mind, ALL of these are plugged into the dock and is being transferred through the HOST port and included cable. The only issue I had with the power delivery is that my laptop specifically didn't like that it was being fed power through the dock rather than being plugged directly in. To be clear, this is ONLY an issue with my specific ASUS laptop. Most ASUS laptops will limit your performance if the PD source is not plugged directly into the laptop, even if the dongle/dock/adapter supports the required PD wattage. Ive tested this laptop with multiple docks and it has always been the case.I'd also like to include, you DO NOT have to have the power adapter plugged in to use the dock. From my testing, everything seemed to run just fine with no power source plugged into the dock. You can still power it on, use all display outs, USB ports, etc. That being said, make sure you have a compatible USB C port on your laptop! Most laptops come with USB C port, but not all ports are made the same! Some don't support power delivery pass-through or have issues with third part adapters (like my ASUS laptop), some don't support display out, and some will highly limit the transfer speed of anything plugged into that port, including this dock. This is NOT a fault of the dock itself, rather just a heads up.Customer Service:I want to be clear, this review is being written after I had spoken to TOBEN ONE support about an issue with the dock.BUT! BUT! BUT!!!!! They are one of the best support teams I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with! My issue was that the HOST port on the back had gotten a bit loose and would lose connection if wiggled. Since I bought this dock about three or fours months ago, I sent an email to TOBEN ONE support describing my issue and seeing if anything could be done. About a day later, I got a response asking for pictures of how I had my dock set up, I assume to ensure I was using it correctly. After sending these pictures, with no further questions asked, they offered to send me a brand new dock without the need to return my old one. I ordered a new dock through Amazon, and after sending them my receipt for the order they sent a full refund to my bank account. This was all within around 4-5 days of emails, and I had a replacement dock in about a week of sending the first email. This is how customer service should be handled.Overall / TLDR:I would absolutely recommend this dock to anyone that needs a nice setup, travels, or just needs the extra ports. This is the best dock you can get for the price. The quality is top notch, all claims about USB and display out specifications are honest, and the customer service is the best in the business. I highly recommend this product.
