I usually don’t leave reviews. However, once all electronics were installed It was time to put the knobs on the volume controllers and when I did this, the backside of the volume controller burst out. I thought I was able to push it back in place and clamp it with channel locks. I had to do the same thing for two other volume control controllers. Tested the guitar out and did not work.I purchased this kit because I thought it was a good quality. I would stay clear of this because the volume control knobs are very cheap. I was gonna ask my money back, but there is a stipulation that they do not accept any returns that has been soldered already. Now I am out of my hard earned money.

I don't really have a tone comparison, as I used these rather than the pre wired pots that came with the guitar kit. They do sound good, and the instructions are almost overly clear. Good diagrams and explanations for a beginner in the kit builder or refurbisher arena.

I have a Gibson Les Pauls Tribute and wanted to get rid of the cheap PCB board and wire in some better electronics. This kit was WAAAY cheaper than buying the parts separately, came with everything, and came with several different wire options. I would 10/10 recommend!!

Toneshaper has what it takes to immediately take your guitar the next level from basic mass produced consumer level. Even though the build quality of some low end guitars is good, Squier in particular has excelly necks, there is no getting around the cheap electronics they use. This kits are a first step to fixing that, as well as giving options for 50's wiring, high pass, and push pull pots for splitting humbuckers. Love this gear!

Top Quality components (POTS, Caps, output jack + switchcraft 3-way + treble bleed) and excellent installation instructions. I recommend to anyone who would like to install new POTS/caps/treble bleed into their Les Paul. IT comes with everything you'll need to upgrade or replace your stock components in your LP signal chain. The instructions and graphics made install a breeze. I was looking at purchasing these parts separately and the price was over $100. Will not hesitate to use Tone Shaper again.

I used this kit to rewire my 60’s Tribute Epiphone Les Paul. I did the 50’s style wiring. It really opened up the sound of the guitar and I can now clean it up by rolling the volume back without it getting muddy. I only had to slightly drill out the tone pot holes as they were a little smaller. I would advise doing this before changing out pickups. It has Gibson 57 Classics and I was surprised how different they sound now. More open and bright and now my knobs are actually useful.

First of all, great kit. The parts are all high quality and they give you more than enough wiring, plus the option to do vintage or modern with the modern Les Paul kit. I should mention the problems I had though, so here they are.1. This kit is made for an American guitar, so anyone with a metric guitar (Epiphone) will have to upsize the holes for their switch and pots. Not a problem if you have some drill bits and the knowledge to use them. This also means that the pot stems are 1/4in and not 6mm, so your Epiphone volume and tone knobs will not fit on the pots, and 1/4in Les Paul pots don't come it many style varities and are generally 2-3 times the price of 6mm knobs. You can work around this with some glue and a drill bit, but not everyone is willing to glue shit to their guitar.2. The pots are NOT push/pull. I think when I was planning on buying this kit, the answered questions section mentioned that these were push/pull, and they're not. Don't plan on using these pots if you're trying to do some weird coil splitting mods.3. The switchcraft 3 way switch that comes with the kit is VERY long, and doesn't even come close to fitting into my 2003 Epiphone Gothic Les Paul Studio. There's nothing I could do to modify the switch to make it fit so I ordered a shorter one from a retailer that sells Switchcraft. Also note, the thread for the knob on this switch uses imperial measurements, so your metric Epiphone knob will not thread onto the switch stem. You will need to purchase one that is made for an American guitar, and if you have an unusually colored switch on your guitar, good luck finding an American company that can color match it.I don't know a ton about the market value of guitar equipment, but it seems like $50 is pretty steep for a few $5 pots and some $0.10 wiring. I guess if you've got a 3in thick Gibson and really can't be bothered to buy the pieces separately, then this kit is for you. If you're not lazy and are willing to shop around for things piece by piece, go for that. Again, if you're playing an Epiphone or any European/Asian made guitar, you're going to have to make permanent modifications to the body of your guitar and you're going to have to buy additional overpriced American molded plastic parts to complete the kit (speed knobs, maybe a 3 way switch).

Qualitativamente nulla da dire! Qualità alta del prodotto. Tutto imballato a dovere! Peccato che li vendano per gibson Les Paul nonostante non siano giusti. Per la Les Paul servono ad albero lungo . Questi sono ad albero corto. A mio avviso andrebbe solo corretta l'inserzione

Fantastic! I had fun for several hour rewiring my Epiphone Les Paul and the result was just Woww!! Great product. Note: It is for Gibson and not Epiphone but without much effort you can use it and ugrade an Epiphone too. You'll need new knobs and switch tip though.
