It breaths, it has a nice fitting loop that can accommodate my enormous hat size. Its a fine hat without the neck stuff, but the neck is great too. a+

Great fit lightweight, SPF, surprisingly comfortable. Bought one for surf fishing, went back and bought another one as a back-up.

We live in a sunny desert resort area and we have to protect ourselves from sun overexposure. We slather on lots of sunscreen, nut nothing is better than covering up when possible. While I won't want to wear this sunshade hat all of the time, when I am going hiking (which I do a lot either by myself or with just a a few friends who I don't need to impress!), this hat will provide excellent sun protection. The detachable head and neck covering is what really makes this work great. And it is unexpectedly comfortable to wear and really does help keep me cooler. I tuck the cloth covering into my shirt collar to keep it from flapping around. (And another unexpected benefit is that it makes my audio earbuds and my smart glasses speakers louder!) This is also made from pretty lightweight and comfortable material. And I've tossed it in the washing machine (but I let it air dry) and it has come out just fine.So, practically speaking, this is a great sun protection option for those times when I don't mind looking a bit more dorky while doing my outdoor activities!

The UV SPF protection is effective, and I’ve noticed a significant difference in how much cooler and more comfortable I feel when I wear it outside. The neck flap is a great addition, providing full coverage and shielding my neck from harmful UV rays, which is something I’ve been looking for in a summer hat. The cap itself is lightweight, breathable, and adjustable, making it a great fit for long days outdoors.The detachable neck flap makes it easy to customize the level of protection depending on the weather or my activity. On days when I don’t need the extra coverage, I can simply remove it, and the cap still looks great. I also appreciate how well it stays in place, even during windy conditions, thanks to its secure design.

This hat is comfortable and breathable. I like the sunglass holder on top. I don't like how noisy the neck flap is while moving around. I was hoping the longer I wore it the more I would get used to it but after a half hour I couldn't take the crunchy sound anymore.

I think I like this hat more than I originally expected to. I was looking for a hat that would offer extra sun protection and wanted to try something with the neck flap. It is definitely not the most attractive thing but i honestly don't hate it the way i would have expected to hate a neck flap. The hat itself is very light, at least seems much lighter than the mesh ball baps i normally wear. The color is just as pictured. Lost of ventilation holes along the sides - there is no interior mesh though so I think this will be helpful for ventilation for myself as someone that still has a fair amount of hair on the sides of my head but anyone that is thinning or bald may want to be careful as there is potential for direct sun through the holes. The neck flap appears to be easily removable for when you don't want to wear it and you could easily fold/wad it up and put it in a bag or pocket while traveling. The hat is sized/held in place with a stretch cord that goes around the hat and held in place with an interesting plastic lock that holds the cord in place, i'm used to toggle locks with a spring and this is just a uniquely shaped single piece of plastic that doesn't need the spring. Overall would recommend this hat to anyone looking for a lightweight, easy to pack sun hat.

I got this hat to wear golfing or other times I am in the sun for hours. I am happy with the quality of the hat, and it fits comfortably (it is adjustable). I like that the 'side flaps' are removable as this makes the cap much more flexible in use. The hat is not heavy and the color is neutral. Seems like a good value! I have worn the hat multiple times, it stays on in the wind and the SPF feature has worked for me.

This hat is an essential to have when working outside in the heat. We've been procrastinating clearing our weeds and trimming our plants and getting our land ready for summer. We live in the tropics so you can imagine how the sun feels after you've been working in it for two hours. You will dehydrate you if you're not careful. This hat has that extra fabric, or "flaps" if you will, all around the sides and back of you neck to keep you feeling cooler and the sun won't hit you directly on your skin. The fabric is light against your skin and it fits just great. You can use your glasses or just hang them on top of the visor, they'll be kept safely out of the way. The bottom part is attached to the hat with snap on clips, so you can wear the hat alone if you want to. Those clips will stay put if your working in windy areas, they are very sturdy and will resist flying off in the wind. Easy to fold it and put it away until you you need them again. Ladies, grab yourself or your hubby a pair, maybe it'll motivate you to get a head start on summer, they are a great value.
