Super easy to install and torque down. No more clunking coming from the hitch in the insert. After many miles flat towing this has not shifted or loosened. Very happy overall.

Installed on my Chevy 2500 because the hitch rattle was driving me into needing to borrow someones safe-space. No more rattle and I can move out on to other things that irritate me.

I have one or two of these devices for a 2" receiver, and needed one for a 2 1/2" receiver. This was the only one I found. It's built like a tank, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. You might find one cheaper, but I doubt you'll find one better. My only issue is that I wish there was a way to secure these to your truck. I'm wondering how long before someone steals this bad boy.

The application was holding a ProPride 3P stinger attached to a 10K lb trailer on a Ram 3500. Was working well Initially. However, I did need to add an additional nut to each side to keep the supplied nut from loosening. So, here's what happened to this clip after 1000 miles of towing. 1) the hooked clip part that goes under the receiver on the truck bent. Went flat. 2) the u-bolt part of the clip would bend on an angle so that I had to pay attention to which way it was bent when I put it back on, 3) the u-bolt broke. See picture.

It works as intended and is well built. The only shortcoming would be the lack of locknuts or lock washers supplied. Without them, the assembly is certain to loosen, especially when towing. Buyers will need to supply their own and/or use locktite generously. 4/5.

I experienced the same situation like another reviewer. The nuts that are supplied are made of a leesser grade material. And they wanted to loosen up after a period of time. So I replace the nuts with a grade 8 nut and double nutted them to lock them into place. Other than that GREAT Product. Does exactly what its supposed to do.

Haven't actually installed it yet but this thing looks like a champ. Reinforced, double-bolted, heavy and after watching youtube videos, appreciate the additional security of bolting a hitch receiver in with thousands of pounds of clamping pressure (I'm sure AVE would know exactly). Feeling good about helping secure my $300 adjustable receiver hitch while also reducing possible slop & hitch noise.(edit 26NOV2019): Works great, trailer still isn’t stolen. Locks up tight, can’t tell any difference when driving but at least they’d have to loosen it to steal my $300 ball hitch (or trailer). Decent peace of mind if nothing else. Very robust, well made.
