Can't beat troy. Lock in tight when deployed. Solid construction. You'll need a tool to adjust windage. A spent casing works fine. Recommend

Troy products are expensive, especially when putting these sights on an optic equipped AR. I like the positive lock-up, the positive adjustment, and the overall ruggedness. When paired with the HK type front sight, I've managed to shoot 2" to 3" groups at 100 yds, regularly. No regrets here.

Just recently bought this Troy rear sight to replace my crappy Magpul plastic rear sight. Like one reviewer has stated, I like Magpul products just not their sights. As soon as I removed this from the package I could tell right away that the build quality is top notch (made in the USA). Its does have a little weight to it but it is metal so that is expected. It flips up and down easily and the snapping sound it makes sounds crisp. The sight has a little play but not enough to even worry about. Its easy to adjust the sight left to right. Zeroed in the sight with approx 10 rounds or so. This is not my go to sight but is my backup sight in-case my Vortex Optic goes out I will have a quality backup site to rely on. Bottom line is I would recommend this product and I would buy it again.

Troy makes great products, and these are no exception. I have these on two of my ARs and would highly recommend them. Great build quality, very lightweight and easy to use and install. I have both the M4 style and HK style front sights and I love both. They are more expensive than others but to me they are worth it for a nice AR. I wouldn't put it on a .22 rifle just due to price, but for ARs these are a great option. For anyone wondering if these will work with Eotech magnifier set ups, I have this mounted on a Colt 6920 with an Eotech EXPS2-0 and a G33 magnifier and everything fits perfectly. There's no extra rail space, it's literally a perfect, comfortable fit. The G33 magnifier is high enough to sit above the Troy sight when it's folded down. In order to bring up the Troy sight, you'll have to flip the G33 to the side. Great setup!

I have these sights on my AR-15 folded down (most of the time) as a backup to an Aimpoint. The durability is obvious as soon as they are unpackaged. They mount very easily and lock down nicely once set. The windage is easy to adjust using a pen or the tip of a bullet. When folded the profile is very slim and stays folded until manually lifted. The aperatures are very much like that on a carry handle. My only complaint is that the sight can not be folded when the smaller aperature is up. Overall these are definitely worth the price!

I bought these Iron Sights because I wanted an optics setup that allowed me to set up my MPO III on the receiver instead of my carryhandle. I was initially apprehensive about purchasing folding sights, my father has magpul buis and I really don't like having sights that involve so much plastic; I was taught and trained using the A2 style carry handle Iron Sights when I joined the army and like the small and large aperatures as well as the windage/elevation adjustments. The magpuls, while made of their high quality polymer, just didn't feel right to me. Wheras these are solid and when engaged up, are rock steady and will not move at all. Out of the box, these sights came in a nice little plastic display case and installed in about a minute. These essentially replicate the quality and function of standard iron sights with a much smaller footprint on the receiver. They are extremely sturdy and are sights I'd take into battle any day of the week. The fact that the windage needs to be adjusted with a tool is great, as you have a much lower chance of you or someone else managing to mess up your zero. I'm not going to say I've used every BUIS but these are great and worth the money if you can pay for it. Troy Industries just won over a loyal customer.

I just put this on my Double Star AR-15 and I must say, I love the quality. it's build like a Sherman tank and firmly locks in the upright position. I have put about 500 rounds down range with the sight being used as my main battle sight and it holds zero just fine. The only negative I have found with it is that when using the small aperture for long range it will not fold down all the way. You must switch it to the larger aperture in order for the sight to fold down correctly. No big deal for me though, It only takes a second to switch between apertures. The price is a bit high, but I quickly learned with AR's is that you either spend a lot now or a lot more down the road when your cheap gear breaks on you. I learned this the hard way.Pros:Locks tightBuilt sturdyLow profileGreat co-witness w/ opticsCons:PriceyCannot fold down all the way with small apertureOverall I am very satisfied with this sight and I highly recommend it.
