When I used my remote to open the trunk on my 2011 Camry, it does not close properly. I replaced the actuator with this one and it works perfectly now. It is easy to install and is close to OEM part. Just need to transfer the old rod connecting the key latch.

The hardest part..was taking out the old one. Otherwise, it took less than a minute to installHowever, before you start, take a couple of pictures; that will helpIn my case, the cable was bad and very expensive. I improvised by connecting a nylon string to the backseat instead, and it worked well. Anyhow, I rarely manually open the truck; I rely on the remote to open it.No need to spend 100s of dollars at the dealer

I selected this item because it seemed to be the closest replacement for my trunk latch. Easy to remove old latch with your instructions, and replace with new latch unit. A few simple tools and twenty minutes later and job completed. Appears to be OEM product minus Toyota imprint. Very pleased with the ease of installation.Price was less than half of original Toyota dealer price; and I didn't have to wait on dealer ten day delivery. I'll consider Amazon auto parts again as needed.
