About this item

  • Eva,Neoprene,Nylon
  • HARDSHELL CONSTRUCTION: For maximum safety, TSG's hardshell construction combines a super strong injection moulded outer shell and a shock absorbing EPS inner shell.
  • MULTI-LAYER EVA FOAM ON AND AROUND KNEE: EVA provides great shock absorbing properties, stress-crack resistance and low-temperature toughness. It can be used in multi layers and is backed with hard shell caps for a solid performance.
  • PRE-SHAPED DESIGN: TSG's pre-shaped body protection comes with a pre-bended articulated design for unrestricting wearing comfort and superior fit.
  • HORSESHOE SHAPED FOAM: We bring down-slipping pads to an end. The solution is TSG's custom Horseshoe shape that greatly surrounds knees/elbows/shoulders. The inside foam pad is compression-molded with a raised top part that perfectly sits around your protected body part. This shape minimizes shifting and down-sliding to keep your pad in place during action
  • OPEN-BACK DESIGN: No shoe removal needed. Accessible open-back design with comfortable neoprene butterfly Velcro closure for easy on and off.

The SK8 DHP knee pad is TSG's extreme downhill protection, developed in collaboration with speed demon Kevin Reimer. Downhill pads aren’t just about saving flesh and bone from concrete but also provide a durable pivot for slides and balance. For this reason we made the SK8 DHP long, from durable Cordura fabric and with a large cap and lateral slide extensions. To keep it in place it also features secure Neoprene butterfly straps with Velcro closure that Kevin can trust.

Only one crash with these so far. The flair coming out to your side is a great design addition for skateboarding but also in general. Large surface area for the shell and comfortable straps. I got an xl size and I have some room to spare but probably would have been too tight in a large. I am 6’2 225lbs. I have fairly dense thickish legs from biking a lot but I’m not overweight. Pricy but I looked for a while and shopped with knowing that I will be crashing and i asked myself what would my knees want to be covered in during a crash and my knees would Santa these. Also divide the price in half and ask yourself if one of your knees is worth that. Just a thought

I bought them because I did not want to have to remove my shoes to put them on... I still have to get motivated, either way...

If you’re a downhill skater, you know injuries are inevitable. But with these knee pads, you can certainly decrease your chances of getting injured a lot. I’ve tried many different kneel pads, and these work the best. They are a tiny bit bulky, but work super well
