When I purchased this rope the description said 500 feet. We used it to put a weight down our water well to check to depth. The well was over 200 feet deep and we barely had rope left on the reel. It was definitely not 500 feet.

Community fountain in lake went inop - needed to get replacement pump and motor and also replaced locating lines (about 300') for three lines. This product seemed fine for its price and should hold up well. (Replaced twisted poly cord from probably the mid 1990s when fountain was first installed.) We will see how it holds up.
