I replaced the faded sun damaged OEM headlights and taillights on our 2010 Tacoma with new TYC lights a few years ago. They have been flawless, right up until I accidentally busted a tail light out. It only made sense to replace the busted TYC tail light with a new one from the same company. You would never know that they aren’t OEM just looking at them and they’re a lot cheaper than factory parts. I knocked a star off because the turn signal bulb burned out when I tested the light before I bolted it in. It blinked maybe 4 or 5 times and burned out. It wasn’t a big deal since I had another bulb to stick in it before I bolted it in, but still…

It's indistinguishable from the original. Undid the 3 inside the bed side bolts, pop out the light (unsnap 2 snap pins), disconnect the connector, connect the new one in, pop it back in place (2 snaps) and replace the 3 bolts. It works perfect! 5 minutes tops. Does it get any better?!

Bought this to replace a cracked tail light housing from an unfortunate backing up incident. Installed easily but whenever left turn signal was applied the compass in my mirror would shut off as if to bring up the back up camera. Reused the old wiring from my broken housing and issue resolved itself immediately

Looks like OEM. Easy to install. 3 bolts 10mm socket. Plug in piece you have to give it a good push into male socket, tight fit.

Fit, finish and quality are exactly like factory. While leaving this review is a clear admission I bumped the wood pile while sliding sideways on ice (when I should have been in 4WD), it's good to know the truck is perfect again. The only problem I had installing the new light was plugging the two parts together, something made fairly difficult by Toyota and a lack of instructions with the light. I ended up using two pairs of pliers, one on each side of the connectors, to push them together. If there's a better way, perhaps that could have been included. But how tough could that be?

The piece I ordered was the perfect size for my truck. The cost for the part was competitive and I was able to install it in just 5 minutes. Thank you for being so cooperative and professional. I look forward to doing business with you in the future.

So, like some other reviewers, my 2009 Taco fell victim to a garbage can collision. Garbage can 1, tail light 0. I went back and forth for a long time on OEM, salvage, or aftermarket with lots of deliberation. Ultimately, the TYC won out; I am thrilled to say that if it isn't a perfect twin to the original, you will be hard pressed to find a difference. It looks identical to the OEM, and installation was a piece of cake: five-minute job. Others refer to filing this or that down to get the plug to fit on the TYC light but none of that was necessary. Unplug the old, plug in the new. Done and done.If you are on the fence about buying aftermarket to match OEM, get off the fence, save yourself $200, and get this light.

I have a 2005 tacoma which comes with standard lights. I was scared to try replacement lights that were not only LED, but also from a different year model... But it works and looks great. It took about 2 minutes for each light and didn't require any re-wiring. These lights are awesome. I park next to my neighbor who has a 2009 and they look identical.
