I’m 6’2 and roughly 200 lbs and these are a bit snug and short but if you wear them low they still accomplish their task with ease. I have a good deal of rattlesnakes on the property but it’s only on warm nights where accidents can occur and that is when I wear gaiters.These are spares for my standard ones and hopefully they protect better than they fit lol.Until We Meet Again-Off The Grid Ken

These are good quality, tall snake gators. They fit well and are easy to put on. They;re a little stiff at first but not bad.

Darker than what is shown. These are light brown, not khaki. Additionally, they are a very abrasive material and have thick uncomfortable seams on the inside. I do feel they do their job and function well for snakes and such which is in the description, but I'm not the happiest with them.

fit great. easy to put on and pull off. fits around cowboy boots. stays in place when I move around and bend my leg. after a few hours I didn't even notice I had them on over my pants. the belt strap is ok, it's easy to tighten and stays where I put it. I really like that I didn't have to readjust myself all day. it's made of very sturdy material. can't say how well it works vs snakes yet as I haven't been bitten yet. but i feel better with them on. and that's half the battle so...

These are definitely not made for Big boys legs! I am over 6 ft tall and I walk, so I have good size calves and thighs. These appear to be made for maybe adolescent males and would probably perfectly fit females. The material down around the ankle area where you would expect to get bit by a venomous snake appears to be an outer layer of cordura with an inner layer of plastic possibly and then a backing layer of another breathable nylon. The upper thigh area has an outer layer of cordura that looks like it's been rubberized on the back. The more I talk about them as I'm thinking about how they felt while I was wearing them the lower the stars go. They also have a very strong chemical smell.

I was thrilled when the chaps arrived before my trip to the Great Dismal Swamp for vernal pool monitoring. The swamp is home to several venomous snakes, so I needed to take serious safety measures. Also, to get to the pools, I have to walk through heavy brush and briars. The first time I put them on, it was pretty easy to figure out. I had no problem strapping them on. I headed into the area where the briars are everywhere. These chaps easily provided excellent protection. All the buckles stayed together without any failure. I did come across one juvenile water snake without any incident. Coming out of the swamp, the chaps protected my pants from snags without any damage to the chaps either. These chaps provide excellent protection for a very reasonable price!
