Not sure why but after completing 3/4 of the patterns in the kit, I washed them in cold (frigid really) water and for some reason it looks like the thread stretched or the fabric shrank. I followed the instructions to wash them with cold water so I’m not sure how this happened but I’m really disappointed I’m going to have to go back and fix them because they are gifts.The one pattern I haven’t finished I’m not sure I will because of the quality of the pattern. It seems a little confusing.

I had so much fun with these designs! I did change a few colors to make the flowers pop a little more, though. Mounted in wooden frames I found here on Amazon, these stitchings look great in my (English teacher) office!The other two designs in the group don't have the same "vibe," so I passed those on to a friend who was looking for something to make for her daughter's reading nook.

These kits are super cute and pretty simple to do. Satin stitch is a little tough to get right, but this kit will give you plenty of practice.I would get these if you've done other more simple kits or just want to jump straight to a challenge.

I did this set at the same time a friend was working on the same one. They're cute designs and straightforward instructions. I took some liberties with some of the coloring and details for two of the patterns. For example, I tweaked the colors of the camera and some books on the shelf. My friend found them a bit more challenging as a newbie, but we both ended up with lovely versions perfect for decorating our respective reading spaces.
