I'm greatly disappointed with this griddle! It looke great out of the box and fit perfectly on our GE stove. I seasoned the griddle prior to my first use, which was a few days away. "Upgraded surface manufacturing process, the surface is smoother than other, less sticky." The only use I have for the griddle is for my tradtional breakfast on Sunday...pancakes. This griddle has a rough surface, not like the ad description,"The cast iron square griddle with unique flat surface that provides space for placing items. And cast iron griddle is more durable..." 【PRE-SEASONING】The griddle needs to be seasoned for the first time so that the surface doesn't stick【PERFECT COOKING. I prepped my pancake mix and poured two(2) batters, went to flip them when they bubbled...might as well have glued them to the griddle. Couldn't flipped them because the were stuck,scraaaped them ino a mess of raw blobs on one side. This griddle fails on several flaws: rough texture and seasoning it did not make it non-stick. This is the 2nd time this griddle failed in it's performance. Expensive and lacking quality build.

This cast iron griddle fits perfectly on top of my GE range. As with any cast iron cookware, I washed, seasoned, and baked it before use. It’s solidly made with a smooth surface, and I really appreciate the much larger cooking area compared to a standard pan. This allows me to prepare bigger portions at once, which is a huge time-saver for meal prepping.I used it to fry zucchini and noticed that when I added a little oil in the center, it tended to spread toward the edges, suggesting the middle is slightly convex. This design could be beneficial for cooking fatty foods, as it allows excess grease to drain away from the center. However, since I don’t use much oil in my cooking, I find myself using more than necessary just to prevent my vegetables from burning—something I don’t experience with a perfectly level cast iron pan or an air fryer. That said, once properly seasoned, the griddle performs exceptionally well and offers a naturally non-stick surfaceAnother consideration is that, depending on the food being cooked, splattering can occur since the griddle has no lid. Cleaning can also be a bit more work, not just due to possible splatter, but because the griddle is larger and heavier than a regular pan. Maneuvering and washing it in a smaller sink can be tricky.Overall, I appreciate upgrading from the original non-stick coated aluminum GE griddle to this solid cast iron one, which offers a more durable and healthier cooking surface. It’s a much nicer and healthier option than non-stick alternatives, which can scratch easily—like the original griddle that came with my range. I plan to try cooking different foods on it in the future and will update my experience beyond just veggies.

We’re impressed with the quality of the griddle. It fit perfectly. Needs to be seasoned a couple of times and then it works well. So much better than the original aluminum one. Very pleased with it.

This griddle perfectly fits the gas stove replacing the one that came with it. It is heavy duty unlike the one that came with the stove. The old one had an aluminum base & I guess non stick Teflon that has not been non stick. This one will make it through the life of the gas stove. I highly recommend this. It is worth the money!!
