If you are seeking an External Hard Drive Docking Station/USB 3.0 to SATA Adapter with UASP support, to interface any of your SATA 2.5" or 3.5" SSD or Regular Hard Drives with your PC or MAC or LINUS OS Computer, and which offers extremely fast transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps, then look no further than this product for your immediate consideration. I noticed the dock is made of sturdy and durable aluminum alloy material with a vertical design which provides high performance and fast heat dissipation. It has a front LED indicator that lets you know the drive's working status. It very easily interfaces for your needs with the included 2in1 USB-A or USB-C to Micro-USB 3.0 cable, and also includes the 12V/2A Power Adapter and a users manual. I previously had a similar but USB 2.0 docking station, and this unit is a big upgrade offering up to 10X the transfer speed with USB 3.0 protocol. I enjoy using this unit to access data from some of my internal designed 2.5" & 3.5 inch SSD or HDD and use it as "an external drive" by placing the drive into this docking adapter and plugging the USB cable into my PC or another PC (or MAC). This is a very good product and solution that is easy to use and can be used often if necessary or just if you have the possible need to read or write data to a single internal type Hard Drive or SSD. Also, if ever had or have a PC that won't boot up or the operating system becomes corrupted, you will most likely have access with this adapter to access or read from the drive or write to the drive and transfer to another computer via its USB port. When I plugged the dock with the drive inserted and plugged the USB cable into my PC, windows recognized it amazingly fast. I highly recommend this docking station as a great computer accessory and hard drive solution.

First off... not a computer person. Computer died but we needed to get files from hard drive & to new computer. Bought this enclosure, plugged the old hard drive into it & connected it (usb) to the new computer. Recognized it immediately & just drag/dropped files from old to new. That easy. A true DIY tool. Saved a bunch of money not having the recovery done by a pro computer service.

I had several older hard drives that I had pulled out of different computers that I owned, and really had no idea what was on them. They were large drives and I wanted to be able to reuse them. I have had this connected to my iMac with different drives for weeks now and it’s never failed. It is perfect!

I was dIsappointed that the clone process wouldn't start unless the data cable was connected to my computer. When I first tried it the dock had power and the source and destination were properly slotted; attaching the data cable to the computer and trying again got the process started. Progress LEDs are dimmer than I expected. Still worth the money.

To initiate the duplication process, you insert the original and new drives, then do a long button press, followed by a short one. If the first led starts blinking, all is well. But if not, you really don't know why it's failing. I wish there were LED blinking codes or something to let me know the error preventing duplication.
