Use this at work with my laptop.Runs 3 monitors through my thunderbolt port without a problem.Make sure you do plug into a power source though, because otherwise it will be slow and laggy.

I use this docking station only for additional monitors. I do not use the additional USB ports, audio jack or ethernet features. That being said, the unit does not get hot in the slightest. It remains at room temperature all day long. I will note that I do not use the additional monitor ports for gaming. I use them for Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and a web browser, so the video chipset(s) are not working very hard. For my purpose, it is PERFECT! A decent price and it's smaller than my cell phone (excluding cable). I do wish the cable was a little longer, but I ended up getting a 90 degree USB extension cable that works great for my application. I don't like cables sticking out from the side of my laptop, so the 90 degree USB extension cable allows the cable to run next to the laptop without taking up any additional desk space. Do not skimp on the USB extension. A cheap extension MAY work, but I ended up getting a 20Gbps extension and I had no issues.

I am really pleased with this product. It’s slender in design and completely unobtrusive. Even better, it’s an incredible value. I had a hard time finding one with three HDMI ports. And the ones I found cost over a hundred dollars more. Not only does it have the three ports, it has equal or superior functionality than the more expensive ones.

I've had two and both ended up having problems after a while with the 3rd monitor. I returned one and tossed the other in the garbage. Maybe the problem was my system but it's odd it would work for 3-5 weeks and then stop working. Therefore, I have to point to the product as opposed to my system.

I plugged 2 HDMI 24" Dell screens, Bose (USB) for sound, Logi keyboard and mouse (USB). Connected my Lenovo thinkpad laptop and everything works. I'm making this review on the connected wireless keyboard and the monitor. The downside is that it doesn't come with the 100 W USB C power adapter which is the recommended for this docking station. Right now, I'm just using my 65 W laptop power adapter.

Updating because I found that another dock that the laptop was previously working fine with also started having issues. I took the laptop to IT, who identified that it needed a BIOS update and noted that this sort of thing just happens sometimes.I am back to using this dock to link to 3 monitors and my peripherals. All is working smoothly._________________________________________________________________________________________It worked great for about a month. I was extending my laptop to 3 monitors and all of my peripherals. Now the peripherals are still working, but the monitors are getting no signal. I've tried restarting the laptop, unplugging/re-plugging, and checking the cables via the single built-in HDMI on the laptop. The problem is the dock.I am reaching out on their support website. I'll update the review if anything comes of it.

EDIT: 9 Month Update At The BottomSo I hardly write any reviews, but this one I felt like I should. I initially purchased this product for around $69 before black friday and any holiday sales. I was very skeptical at first as it is notably a cheaper option than most of the other products offered on amazon. However, when I got it, it did end up being plug and play. I did not have to install or run any additional software. My setup:I have a dell latitude 5440 which serves as my main computer and I utilize the built in USB-C adapter.I use three monitors- 1 AOC 24G1 (24 inch)- 1 Dell P2319H (24 inch)- 1 Dell S2421HS (24 inch)I turn my laptop monitor off when running, but it does run just fine along the other threeI have all three monitors running at 60HzMy Experience:I really have no problem at all using all three monitors. The AOC is for gaming and curved, but I don't use it for gaming. Normal applications only.Whether all three monitors are vertical or horizonal / a mix between them, it works just fine. The ethernet works great too, I experience minimal loss when I use the adapter vs plugging directly into my laptop. When I overclock, the monitors work every time (I sometimes overclock to compile / render)All the USB ports read perfectly and have not had any faults or errorsI use 1 USB-C port for charging my phone, another for an USB extender which works, and one for the keyboard. I also utilize all three HDMI ports and the device does get hot, but doesn't fail.Overall, I am incredibly happy with the purchase and I recommend it for those running three casual HDMI monitors. The only problem I have had when running it was before I changed the refresh rate to match each other, but so far it has worked very well. I use it almost everyday and have had it for about 2 months now.I will make an update if something goes wrong, but it continues to work great and I can recommend it as a solid "budget" option for those looking to use multiple monitors and other end devices as well. ThanksUpdate:The docking station is finally beginning to give way to exhaustion. It still works, but each day I now need to unplug it and plug it back into the USBC Adapter on my Dell Laptop. Nothing has changed about it's environment or my setup, in fact it has not left it's spot since the day I installed it.I will also mention that when I bought this, there were hardly any other purchases or reviews on this docking station so I really appreciate all the likes. Makes me think this update will be valuable to some. Furthermore, since the time of purchase, the price has stayed around the same, despite myself thinking I was smart to buy it on Black Friday. My Analysis:Regardless of which, I still highly recommend this adapter! It does exactly as advertised and it was my fault for not purchasing the warranty. You should do that if you are considering purchasing this device as it is still notably cheaper than other alternatives and I personally know I won't use a different one not only from the adapter's performance, but the price of the docking station + 3 year warranty ($8.99) is still cheaper than the other triple HDMI docking stations with good reviews for hundreds of dollars. My Experience:There was no bottle-necking, latency issues, overheating issues, or robust noises from the adapter once. It was able to handle 3 monitors beyond my skeptical expectations. I still use it for basic work functions, however I will also add that I don't use it to charge my laptop at once.Charging Difficulties:I use the original charger the laptop came with and the laptop supplies power to the docking station (I have 2 USBC ports, both have charging functionality) as the docking station will not optimally charge my laptop. You might find this the case with yours, which is probably a real bummer for some and separates it from an enterprise docking station and an individual use docking station.Anyways, I apologize for the run-on review. I still strongly recommend it as a budget-friendly option which works well and don't forget to grab the warranty when / if you choose to buy it.Thanks
