Worked great for a month. Got it end of January, and stopped working last week March 2nd week.By stopped working it would stop display and start back after 5 seconds. And it would happen often enough that it rendered it unusable.

With the amount of USB c ports around these days it's very useful to have these on standby as I still have many occasions where I need to fit a USB a into the smaller sized port and these do the job perfectly so it has to 5 stars plus they come in a pack of 4 which is good as they can be easy to lose/misplace!

This KVM switch is perfect for my setup with two USB-C laptops and a single HDMI monitor. The 100W PD fast charging is a great bonus!

The 2 USBc cables are only 4ft long (so your machines better be close to each other). The ad does say there is no hotkey switch, you must use the button (another reason the USBc cabled should have been longer. It doesn't come with a power supply (it does have 1 USBc to USBa) but no terminal to connect to; so if you are going to get "100W PD Fast Charging" I'd imagine that the terminal you supply need to be providing that much power. The ad says 'The USB-C KVM switch can easily switch between 2 USB C desktops and laptops'. What it doesn't tell you; If the motherboard you are connecting to doesn't have integrated wiring to USBc video will never switch. For more information look this up "DisplayPort Alt Mode". If you have a CPU with integrated iGPU and "DisplayPort Alt Mode" or Thunderbolt 5 this may work for you.I also notice that each time I switch between laptop and PC, that in the device manager the connection to the Keyboard and Mouse terminates and reconnects. So a session isn't kept open to the KVM switch (it's like unplugging and plugging every time you switch). I don't know if other KVMs work this way also (KVMs I've used years ago didn't do this). If all the hardware works for your scenario, it seems good for the price.

Port for HDMI out is dead.HDMI Cable and port on my monitor test = good.USB C Connections = working. Will have to return.Have ordered another hoping for better luck as few of this type of 2 Port are out there.Update: 7:45:14 AM 4/17/2025 (Below is my response to the manufacturer who did their level best to help me:I have found the problem and will be changing my review/rating.The cables that came with unit are woefully short, basically useless for anything other than close quarters testing.I needed cables at least 3 feet. The USBC cables I ordered did not support video - I was not aware that "not all USB C cables are created equally".Got new cables and the unit works as advertised.Apologies for besmirching your brand/product.I will rectify as best I can.

No idea why the primary photo is of a USB C to USB A adapter. The later pictures are accurate!Included in the box is the switch itself, a remote control button (wired) two USB C cables and a USB A to USB C cable. The latter is intended for power only. It will work without the power supply connected, but you're then limited to what it can power that is plugged into it.Probably my only real complaint is that it is impossible to tell which computer is selected. Yes there are two LEDs that indicate the active connection, but they're close together and the same colour. As a result you can really only tell by pressing the button a few times to see the changing LEDs - you can't just glance and know the right computer is selected. If the LEDs were at opposite ends to each other, or different colours it would be a whole better. The mix of 1 USB C and 3 USB A ports on the front is reasonable for the moment. But with the switch to USB C I personally would have prefered more USB C ports.
