Never tried these magnetic charger things, got it sort of a whim. I use it to connect between my USB-C monitor and my phone. It works great. The magnetic is really strong and it immediately connects and launches Samsung DeX at 4K 60hz resolution with zero problems, while charging the phone at top speed. You know it's connected because there's a little blue light that comes on when its connected. When its time to take it out, its super easy and just pulls apart. I love it. Gonna move to wireless tips on all my devices. This is the future right here. I love it so much I wish that I had gotten the 2 pack instead.

Didn't do substantive testing, nor anything related to longevity....But worked no problem with my xreal glasses. Love the idea of blocking the port for easy cleaning and replacement

I love these. The magnet is pretty strong. It’s not going to just fall off. It’s not quite strong enough to hold vertically, upside down, but that’s expected. I bought these for most of my usb c devices

With this adapter won't wear and tear the cell phone port. I highly recommend it.

Great little connectors, they last pretty long, over a year of constant usage, better than other connectors I've used, but like other magnetic connectors of this type, then end up failing despite regular maintenance/cleaning. I'm guessing the connectors start losing their spring or get corroded beyond recovery after a while, so it gets pretty irritating after while. I now prefer to simply buy cheaper brands and replace them when they fail. Cheaper brands have also improved in quality, for example their magnetic force is now stronger than this one, so my guess is this model will need to be renewed at some point to remain competitive. Despite these shortcomings these connectors still remain a good choice, as long as you set your expectations right.

These are far too expensive to be made this poorly. I'd stay far far away from these. I will update this and change it to 3 stars if they replace the broken unit but I doubt they will since it's been more than 30 days. But these are less than 90 days old and have barely been used. I bought the 3 pack of inserts and the multi pack that came with 2 heads and I a few inserts. The idea was to have all my USB-C devices use these connectors and then to have 2-3 charging cables that could plug into them. I wanted something that could support usb3 or higher speeds. Seems like that's a dream at this point. I'd recommend buying something else.I'll update my review if I get a replacement and after several months of heavy use I have no more failures. But usually the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior. You can apply this to retail quality as well. Failure modes are usually common when it concerns direct from China parts that are not designed and imported solely by a western firm with a western title. Even then quality control can be sporadic but when every aspect of the company is Chinese including the brand itself (all the weird sounding kind of not quite English name brands) then you know you have a through and through Chinese quality product.

I've seen bad reviews here from people have broken theirs then continue to use it and then damage their laptopMine hasn't broken, but this things job is to protect your laptop and being ripped off the counter, if it does that and saves your laptop but The little magnetic adapter brakes it is done its job. It's like giving a bad review because you ran over your phone with a car, broke the phone case and continue to use it only to have the phone damage later.... The plastic on the end of the connector is was keeping the pins all aligned correctly if the plastic is broken you're going to short something out.Yah, Less than a week after I got this I managed to trip over my power cable while using my walking pad at my standing desk.It popped off without moving the laptop at all or damaging the charging portBecause I effectively accidentally stomped on the cable, force of it being ripped out yeeted the adapter across the room. Fortunately I knew my level of derpiness and bought this the same time as the treadmill. But when you crack the cable like a whip, that's going to happen that's not the adapters fault.

I thought this would be as good as the other USB - C adapters that I have purchased. However, it failed after 2 weeks of extreme usage. I detach and connect my devices up to 30 times a day. The magnetic ones rarely fail me. They have all lasted more than 6 months. This Side connection refused to send power through after 2 weeks usage. It has a light to show that power is flowing, and all it did was blink. I am really disappointed, since the configuration of the SIDE connection was what I was looking for. My search has not ended.

11 June 2023 Review for "GTbeans" brand USB C Magnetic Adapter 24Pin, (2 Pack) Type C Connector: Only had them about 2 months but in my stationary application they seem to work well. I can certainly understand that they 'd pop off if used on a hand-held video game device but connected to my tablet while my tablet is sitting on a table or if my tablet is carefully held in my hand it stays connected. My tablet max charges at 65 watts and that works fine. The GTbeans magnetic adapter also works when I feed my HP tablet through a G5 dock as I simultaneously charge at 65W, use the wired LAN of the dock, use the HDMI video output of the dock, and use 2 spinning platter hard drives attached to the dock. All of those things at once work well and I can feel no temperature rise within the GTbeans connector. Am I using all 24 posible pins of the USB-C connector at the same time? I don't know but I guess I'm close. It's crazy to cram all of that into one little USB-C port but that's what we're forced to do. Replacing one of those ports on the motherboard will be a tedious chore requiring a hot air station and requiring desoldering tools and low-temp solder and a host of other tools and gadgets to replace a worn out USB-C port. So...I am thinkful for this magnetic adapter idea. Maybe I'll never have to invest in that toolgroup that will amount to about a thousand dollars. Or, maybe I'll never have to buy another motherboard simply because the USB-C port has suffered fatigue from plugging and unplugging. What about longevity? I will come back to post if I have troubles and if I can still find this original review.I will say that this GTbeans Magnetic USB-C adapter worked so well on my tablet that I am also using one on my cell phone. Works fine there, too.
