Have been using this for preacher curls and hip thrusts. Very convenient to have a shorter straight bar than standard barbell. It's not fancy, no bearings or anything, but gets the job done and the knurling is decent.

I really like that I can use light weights but can go heavier when ready.

Bar was the best packaged item I've received in a while. Outside appearance was bright, clean and nice looking. Knurling was a fine knurl and not a super coarse knurl. Sleeves were very sloppy. Disassembled them and the shaft was .970" in diameter and the collars were 1.020" in diameter. Very sloppy and they rattle a lot. This was steel on steel, there are no bushings whatsoever. There was also play in and out with the collars with the end fastener in. I added heavy grease to take up some of the play but they are still very loose. I realize this isn't a $200 bar, but for collars with no bronze bushings in them, this should be a $20 bar. I'll probably bore out the sleeves and put bronze bushings in them my self, but I shouldn't have to.

The four foot Olympic Barbell arrived on time and properly packaged, however, it did have nicks and scratches. The knurling could be deeper and more widely spaced and center knurl rings would have placed it over the top in its class. I guess I expected more from a four foot bar at close to $100.00. In summary, the Olympic Barbell is good enough, but, that is where I stand with quality adjectives.
