I looked a quite a few pull-up / hanging bar portable handles before I chose these, and so glad I did! Compared to many others, these are solid metal, then a layer of hard texturized plastic has been placed over the metal where the handles grip onto the rods. The seams around the handles seem to be gone, like they were melted away during placement, leaving no gaps at all where the handles were placed, which means there is no place they can actually weaken and eventually break, and the handles cannot begin to slip off over time, as they are merged totally into the metal. These grips are safe to use and that, along with precision ergonomics, was my most important concern when choosing. Many other pull-up/hanging handles I looked at had foam hand grips which is a deal-breaker for me. I can't tolerate foam, the feel of it, the way it breaks down so fast, the damage it does to the environment during production and also after it is thrown into landfills because it becomes unusable over time, and foam can't ever really be cleaned, so bacteria grows inside the foam, etc. In contrast, the hard plastic on these particular grips can be easily cleaned and kept sanitary. The plastic handle parts appear to be somehow melted onto the metal in a super-solid way and they are texturized with zillions of little raised lines that are completely smooth to the touch, no jagged anything on these -- also nothing jagged in the upper parts of exposed metal.I sometimes take these to an outdoor PAR course that has a bunch of different exercise 'stations' including various heights of pull-up / hanging stretch bars. The angle between how these hang and the shape and length of the part where the hands hold is great, it feels like a natural, neutral angle. I use them for hanging and stretching to increase blood flow, strengthen muscles, and release tension in my upper back and shoulders after long hours in a desk chair. These help in slowly building up the strength to be able to do pull-ups again after some years of becoming sedentary due to complex injuries in both ankles. I often do just one single pull up and hold it as long as I possibly can, which does wonders for endurance type of strength building, and these ergonomic hand grips help so much in that healing and deep strengthening process.

I don't have pullup bars but I do have resistance bands and motorized weights. I use it mainly with my Unitree Pump as a replacement for the handles. It works fine with curls and rows but I haven't tried it with anything else.

This neutral grip handle for pull-up bars is really a great enabler for someone that is having a hard time doing a proper pull-up. It actually motivates those that are able to do the first time they try it using this gadget.

This is a Vine program review. These are very sturdy Neutral Grip Pull Up handles that I installed on my Titan X-3 Weight Rack's 1 1/4" pull up bar. My hands do not slip on the composite material on the handle grips and the handle hook that goes over the pull up bar has a rubber/plastic material (I do not think it is UHMW plastic) that does not slip or scratch the pull up bar. These are very well made of metal and definitely hold my 200+ pound body weight. I love using the neutral grip handles since i have been having "shoulder issues" and I do not feel any pain using these neutral grip handles. I highly recommend them for you to consider purchasing. FYI - I would have purchased these neutral grip handles if they were not a Vine Program item to try out. I wanted these and i am happy to have them to use!

Pros:1) Heavy duty construction. They hold my 170lb bodyweight with ease.2) Comfortable rubber grips.3) Wide opening to accommodate different bar thicknesses.4) Portable5) Easy to useCons:1) The all metal construction makes these handles fairly heavy for their size. While they are portable, the extra weight makes throwing them in a gym bag less desirable.2) The large u-shaped bar opening is great, but the one downside is a bit of side-to-side movement, twisting, and scooting on smaller diameter pull-up bars.Overall, a useful and well made set of pull-up handles.
