  • 【Perfect for Novices and Professionals - Easy-to-Use Diamond Tester】 This diamond tester is designed for both beginners and professionals. Simply power on, press the tip against the gemstone and wait for a beep to know if it's a real or fake diamond. A real diamond lights up to 9 and emits an audible sound. No reaction means it’s a fake or simulant like cubic zirconia (CZ). Get quick, accurate results every time
  • 【Thermal Conductivity for Accurate Testing - Diamonds Moissanite & Gemstone Tester】 Our tester uses thermal conductivity to accurately distinguish real diamonds, moissanite, and other fake gemstones. Real diamonds and moissanite have distinct thermal properties, and the tester’s probe will produce a high-frequency sound to confirm authenticity. This ensures reliable gemstone testing and avoids false positives when testing synthetic diamonds or other stimulants
  • 【Adjustable for Carat Sizes - Easy to Test Small & Large Diamonds】 Adjust the tester’s settings according to the carat size displayed on the screen. For diamonds over 1.0 carats, turn on one green light; for 0.5 carats, two lights; and smaller stones, three to four lights. This feature ensures accurate results without needing to know the exact carat weight
  • 【High-Frequency Sound for Metals & Simulants - Accurate Testing Feedback】 When testing metals or simulants, the device emits a high-frequency sound due to the thermal conductivity similarity to diamonds. Ensure proper testing procedure and avoid testing on metal, skin, or water for accurate results
  • 【Complete Testing Kit】 The kit includes 1 diamond tester pen, 1 USB cable, 1 testing platform, 1 user manual. This gemstone tester kit is ideal for home jewelers, diamond enthusiasts, and professionals, making testing diamonds, moissanite, and other gemstones easy and reliable

  • Yes, it can detect natural diamonds and most lab-grown diamonds. For simulants like moissanite, we recommend using the built-in UV light or seeking professional verification for best accuracy.

  • This tester is based on thermal conductivity, so moissanite—which has similar thermal properties—may not always be distinguished. However, the built-in UV light can help as an additional screening tool.

  • Absolutely! It's designed for beginners. Simply charge the device, turn it on, wait for it to warm up, and gently touch the probe to the gemstone surface for instant results.

  • Yes, it's rechargeable and comes with a built-in battery—no replacement needed. Just plug it in to charge and you’re good to go for multiple uses.

  • It can help identify common diamond simulants like glass, crystal, and cubic zirconia. However, it’s not designed for testing colored stones like rubies, sapphires, or pearls.

This is an impressive tool that is easy to carry around and works really well. First and foremost, its high accuracy makes it a reliable choice for anyone dealing with jewelry. It is also really easy to use and read. The LCD display provides clear results. Regardless of if you are a beginner or an expert, anyone can use this and get accurate results without confusion.Additionally, there is a built-in UV light which enhances its functionality by helping identify certain characteristics in diamonds, such as fluorescence, which is something many buyers look for. It also aids in recognizing other gemstones, adding to its versatility. I love that it is rechargeable. because I never have to worry about burning through batteries, plus it uses the standard c-charge so there is not a time when I don't have a charging cord available.

It's a little fiddly to set the stone size which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5. It might be a button responsiveness issue, not sure. Other than that, it's pretty straightforward. I tried it on multiple stones that are known diamonds, known moissanites, and some white sapphires and CZs. It correctly identified the diamonds and moissanites as diamond/moissanite and for the CZs, it didn't register anything at all. The White sapphires popped up on the scale but did not alert as diamond/moissanite.It's a little awkward to hold the conductor plate just so for getting some of the smaller stones read correctly, but I think it will just take practice. I like that it's rechargeable instead of needing batteries and it comes with the necessary charging cable.I would say for the price, it's a good value. I am not sure I would be comfortable buying large/expensive stones based solely on the testing of this device until I have had more time to use it and get comfortable with the readings.

I tested the unit received on my wife's treasures, and obtained the results I expected.Having previously read the other Vine reviews (which are excellent), my expectations were perhaps more grounded in reality than they would have been otherwise, hence I am giving this little tool full marks. The only thing that was somewhat confusing to me is how to set the size of the gem to be tested. Using the "+" button to increase the number of lit diodes DECREASED the size setting (if I understood the instructions correctly), while pushing the "-" button to reduce the number of lit diodes actually INCREASED the size of the stone. It's a little counter-intuitive, but not a fatal issue.

The Valkynos Rechargeable Diamond Tester Pen offers a solid build and helpful features like a clear readout, UV light, and rechargeable battery. It works well for identifying whether a gemstone is real or not, especially with basic thermal conductivity checks. However, it can't distinguish between diamonds and Moissanite, and the accuracy can vary depending on technique and stone size. It's useful for general verification, but not ideal if you're looking for high-precision results or something completely beginner-friendly. The startup time is also a bit long, which could be inconvenient in fast-paced environments.

Bought this to test some pieces I had that I wasn’t sure about. For an initial test I tested my wedding set, which I knew to be diamonds, and a stone I knew to be Cubic Zirconia and it tested both accurately.

This my first tester like this that ive ever used so I don't have anything to compare it to but this works great. I tested it out on moissanite and diamonds just to see what it would do and you could definitely easily tell the difference between the two and then I tried it on some CZ and it didn't react at all. So I'm happy with it and it will come in handy in the future

I watched videos, read instructions and followed everything to a tee. Not one time did this register anything as a diamond, even known authenticated diamonds from multiple sources. I made sure everything was completely clean and diamonds I know to be authentic barely registered on the meter. Garbage, sending back
