It seemed like the right idea but my female dachshund figured out how to escape from the barrier no matter what configuration I used. My space did not allow for me to attach to a wall but I did make it heavy and tricky. I think if you can attach to a wall it might do the trick. It’s made well and is strong but my doxie outmaneuvered it and me.

There are certain areas where we do not want out dogs inside of the house, so these are perfect for indoor use.

We are a family of 5 w/ 2 goldens that bark and may jump when someone enters front door. We got this and it definitely helps but didn't last more than a couple months. The consistent in and out made the door break near the hinges in multiple spots, we've rigged it for now, but disappointed it didn't last longer for the price.

Looks nice and works well keeping my puppy out of the kitchen. Like that it has a door just wish it would swing both ways, the reason for 4 stars.

This gate completely divides my house in half - which makes it so amazing for someone who has two dogs and a toddler. (This gate is not intended for use with kids, but we use it for our child and it works great. Just have to watch because it can pinch fingers - but it hasn’t happened to us.)Easy installation. Easy gate access. My 100lb dog doesn’t stand a chance against it!! We ordered hinges and drilled it to our walls. It’s amazing and beautiful to boot!

Update: i had this gate for less than a month before I ruined it by leaving it out in the rain. It absorbed so much water and became so water logged that it just split apart and has this orange fungus looking stuff growing out of it. What a waste.I use it outdoors on my deck and bring it in at night and inclement weather. It’s easily portable. My dog doesn’t test it, it stays where we put it. It comes with feet that are easy to attach/remove. I only used them the first day, but don’t really need them because of the trifold way the gate stands. I’m happy to have them though in case we need to block off a wider opening.

This gate is attractive and works perfect for my use. I use it in my garage to keep my dogs from getting into the street when my garage door is open. They follow me everywhere, so this gate allows me to let them in the garage while I am working. It is very attractive and I love that the gate that opens in the middle so I don't have to crawl over it if I decide to go out of it while I have it in place. Also my dogs are small under 7 lbs so I do not need to anchor the ends of the gates by drilling any holes. It is freestanding and keeps my dogs inside perfectly. Easy to take down and put up when needed.
