The case is nicely made, gold coating is consistent, durable and won't flake off after a few times using them. Threads are fully formed and straight on my set. They are really low profile and the teeth on the clamping face bites just enough to hold steel, but could leave a mark if you crank down hard enough. Made in Taiwan and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more.

Let's face it, if you are buying tools on Amazon, you are a beginner with a low/no tolerance or smaller machine or you are a machinist on a budget. If your reaction is to say I'm "not a machinist on a budget" go make your tools or buy decent stuff. You get what you pay for here, these 100.00 clamps are not going to fit your true 7/16 T-slots. They will be too big. The ones I receive were not marked in the same way as those in the photos, though they are the same size but those sizes are incorrect for 7/16 T-slots. They also have pitting and rust or corrosion on them, while still wrapped in the new plastic. This is typical of things chipped from overseas. I'll take a little off the faces of these and see if I can force them to fit. The clamp design is pretty standard but difficult to find for smaller T-slots, especially at this price. If these actually fit and were so corroded right out of the bag, they'd be 5 stars and I'd get another set. With that said, as I learn some of the basics of machining, I'll make my own - for the price and even with the effort to get them to fit - as long as I can, these will be a decent backup.Note the ones I receive are marked CK-3712 on the package (small box) and Vertex 37/12 on the clamp, these will fit 12MM T-Slots but will not work for 7/16" T-slots as noted in the ad on Amazon.

2 of 4 not tapped correctly (on the left) and deform the screw threads. Also the same 2 will not clamp down as far same issue on those holes.
