I really like how this little accordion lamp adds a cozy glow to my room. The warm light is super relaxing, and it’s great for winding down in the evenings. I’ve been using it mostly on my nightstand and sometimes carrying it around the house with the handle—super handy for that! It’s also nice that you can adjust the height and dim the brightness just by touching it. The design looks really nice too, kind of a mix of modern and traditional with the wood and paper. The only downside I’ve noticed is the battery life. It says 4-6 hours, and that’s pretty much what I get before needing to charge it again. I wish it lasted a bit longer, especially if I forget to plug it in. Also, it took me a minute to figure out how to set it up so it doesn’t collapse—it needs to be hooked onto the pole inside or it won’t stand right. Once I got that part, it worked perfectly. Overall, it’s a cute lamp that adds charm, just keep in mind you’ll be charging it fairly often.

This just blew my socks off. I opened the box, and the light was ON. I closed the accordian, and it shut off. Open the accordian, it's on again. How easy and clever. And pretty. When closed, it looks innocuous, though attractive. Grab it by its handle, tote it over to a dark spot in the room or out onto a dark porch, set it on a table or railing, open it up and voila. Instant light. This might just be what the cavemen experienced when they discovered fire. I marvel every time I open it--- AND you can open it 1/4 of the way, or anywhere in between, to totally open, depending on how much ambiance/light you want.Later addition- UPDATE: While I still love the accordian light's look and feel--especially nice to turn on when it's dark and dreary outside since it brings such a warm ambiance, I did read on the webpage that the top button can dim the light, adjust it up on down. Originally, this feature did not appear to work, and my update was a negative one. But I came back to change it, as the other day, maybe 2 weeks after I got it, I decided to try once again to press and hold the top to dim it, and voila! It dimmed! So now I am totally in awe of this light. I think between the ambiance it gives a room- a warm, homey glow-and the ease of a table lamp [I plugged mine in permanently, using an extra recharger block so it's now a lamp on my desk :)], there's nothing not to like. Plus, if the lights ever DO go off, it will work as an emergency light for a time--a win-win.

This is a lovely little lamp! I will say that I did have some trouble getting it set up properly. It kept falling over and generally flopping around around whenever I extended it and would never stay up like in the the pictures. I kept with it though and eventually figured it out. There's some kind of pole or rod in the center that you need the top to hook on to. Once they're connected, it works great! You can then set it to any height and it just stays put.I walked around the house with it at night and turned the light out in various rooms to test how well I could see and was surprised at how well it illuminated everything. It's not as bright as a 100-watt bulb or anything, but it's definitely bright enough that I had no problem seeing everything. The handle made it very comfortable to carry around as well.I also really love the aesthetics of the lamp. It reminds me of some traditional Japanese style with the wood and the accordion paper elements. I also like how you don't even really have to press the button to turn it on. You just lightly touch it and it goes on! You can also dim the light too, which is great. I haven't made much use of that feature yet, but I definitely appreciate that it's there. If I had one complaint it's that it didn't seem like the battery lasts very long. I didn't actually measure it and so I just estimated, but it seems as if I only get about 6 hours per charge, which seems low to me.Otherwise, though, I think this is a great lamp and I really enjoy using it.
