I set this 4kw unit up on a 3hp 3ph 230V Leeson inverter duty motor running a 13” lathe. The instructions are not great, but they do help. I set the ramp up/down speeds, wired forward/reverse to the original tumbler switch on the lathe, and wired in an E-stop button. The braked deceleration with a heavy chuck and the ability to add an E-stop is really cool. It seems the stop inputs all look to the same address for the type of deceleration, so you choose either freewheel, deceleration, braking, or E-stop, and that applies to using the stop button on the VFD, the normal stop through the tumbler switch (in my case), and the E-stop terminal. It would be better if the deceleration selection was offered separately for both the normal stop and the E-stop. I only want the full E-stop braking when it is an emergency, not every time I shut the machine off. To get around this, I set one of the speed selections to 0 with full braking and programmed the E-stop to engage that speed. That way I can get smooth and quick deceleration for normal stops, and an immediate hard stop when the E-stop is pushed. It is amazing how fast the E-stop braking will stop the lathe. Really happy with this thing so far, but it should be easier to set deceleration for normal stops and a hard stop when an external E-stop button is wired in.

I put this on a 2hp 3ph table saw (an old Unisaw) from 220v single phase. It works well, and was able to configure it to work the way I wanted it to. Still need to figure out an external switch to work the way I want it to, but very pleased with how it works on the saw.

I am running a 1.5HP 3 phase motor. No problems and all functions work. I do not know about this one, but from past experience the power ratings are usually over-optimistic and it is a good idea to get a 2X higher rating than the motor especially if you are planning to run it at higher than rated frequency. My only complain is the rather poor "manual" - really one sheet with minimal and not always clear instructions, and the rather small mounting holes that can only accept #8 (or M4) screws.

I got this to run a 3hp 3ph 1-1/4 sharper from Englandthis gives me speed control and revere if I need itI added a simple pull on push off knob switch (big RED button)got rid of the old mag switch and all it working greatAS FOR THE MANUAL ,just one page ,so go on line and watch some videos on setting one of these upthere are over 80 parameters you can set ,but you only need to set about 5 , things like the HZ 60 for Canada and the USA, rotation rpm ,switching on and offas with anything ,so far so good ,time will tell . this is my second one of these ,I have one on my CNC Spindle
